The players have been awarded for their excellent performance during the last edition of the tournament.

The Gujarat Giants team is one of the teams that haven’t won the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) title even once. However, their performance hasn’t been too bad either. The team reached the PKL finals twice but faced defeat both times. Gujarat is one of the teams that didn’t participate in the league from the first season and joined later.

Manpreet Singh was the coach of the Gujarat Giants for several seasons, but he was removed in the previous season. The franchise appointed Ram Mehar Singh, who had experience winning titles with the Patna Pirates, as their head coach. Despite his experience, the team struggled and managed to win only 9 out of 22 matches, finishing eighth in the points table. Even though they won four out of the last five matches, they couldn’t secure a playoff spot.

For the Gujarat Giants, there were players who performed well during the 9th season. Some players were retained, while others were let go. Let’s take a look at the players retained by the franchise for the upcoming season.

Elite Retained Players for Gujarat Giants:

1. Manuj: The right-corner defender was retained despite his performance last season. He played 10 matches and earned 10 points.

2. Sonu: The young raider was retained after performing well in the 9th season. He played 12 matches and earned 46 points.

Gujarat Giants’ Retained Young Players:

1. Rakesh: The young raider couldn’t meet the expectations of the previous season, but he managed to earn 133 points in 17 matches.

Gujarat Giants’ New Young Players:

1. Prateek Dahiya: The young all-rounder was the standout performer for the team in the 9th season. He played 19 matches and earned 183 points, becoming the team’s top scorer.

2. Rohan Singh: Despite playing only one match and not scoring any points, Rohan Singh was retained.

Please note that the Gujarat Giants did not retain veteran players such as Sandeep Kandola, Baldev Singh, and Chandran Ranjit due to their performance not being up to the mark in the previous season.
