The Indian team will be eyeing to win the gold medal this time.

The Asian Games 2023 are fast approaching, and the Indian Kabaddi teams are gearing up for action on October 2nd. This time, both the Indian men's and women's teams have their eyes firmly set on the coveted gold medals. It's worth noting that in the 2018 edition of the Asian Games, both the men's and women's teams had to settle for silver after facing defeat. As we look ahead to the Asian Games 2023, the Indian Kabaddi teams are determined to kick off their campaign on October 2nd with the sole aim of clinching the gold, and they are well-prepared for the fierce competition.

In the Men's Kabaddi, a total of 11 teams will compete, divided into two groups of six and five teams. However, the grouping of these teams has yet to be announced. Meanwhile, the Women's Kabaddi Championship will feature nine teams, split into two groups of five and four teams.

In the previous edition of the Asian Games, the Indian teams had to settle for silver medals. In Men's Kabaddi, India had an illustrious history with seven gold medals in eight editions, but Iran ended that streak by securing gold in the last edition, leaving India with silver. This time, the Indian teams are fully prepared and eager to recapture the gold medal.

In Women's Kabaddi, India made its debut in 2010 and initially won two gold medals. However, their winning streak came to an end in the previous edition when Iran emerged victorious in the final, denying India the gold. Nevertheless, this time around, the women's team is determined to compete with thorough preparation and aims to reclaim the gold medal.
