PKL 10: Telugu Titans retention list

The performance of the team last season was quite disappointing.

The Telugu Titans have been delivering consistently disappointing performances for the past two seasons. The team has been consistently at the bottom of the table for the last two seasons. Despite numerous changes and the inclusion of several top-notch players in the team each time, the results haven't changed. During the 9th season, the Titans managed to win only 2 out of 22 matches and had to face defeat in the remaining 20 matches. This gives you an idea of how disappointing the Telugu Titans have been.

However, now it's time to focus on the upcoming season, putting the past season behind. The Titans have appointed Srinivas Reddy as the head coach for the upcoming season, who previously coached the Jaipur Pink Panthers. With a new strategy in place, the team has already revealed its retention list, letting go of several big players and retaining only a few. List of retained players for the Telugu Titans:

Elite Retained Players:

1. Pravesh Bhainswal – Despite the team's consistent losses in the 9th season, Pravesh Bhainswal, who played as a left cover, performed well. Bhainswal had joined the Telugu Titans from the Gujarat Giants and showcased a strong performance, becoming the top tackle point scorer in the 9th season. He recorded 10 Super Tackles in 21 matches, making the Titans the team with the most Super Tackles in the previous season. Additionally, he secured 54 tackle points, establishing himself as the team's best defender. This is why Pravesh Bhainswal has been retained among the senior players.

Retained Young Players:

1. Rajnish – The team has retained only one player in this category, Rajnish, who emerged as a rising star. While Rajnish had limited opportunities in the previous season, the Titans have shown confidence in him and retained him for the upcoming 10th season.

2. Mohit – Besides retaining Pravesh Bhainswal in the left cover position, the Telugu Titans have also retained Mohit in the same position, possibly as a backup for Bhainswal. In the last season, Mohit played a total of five matches and secured three points.

3. Nitin – After retaining two players in the left cover position, the Titans have retained Nitin in the right cover position. Nitin has relatively less experience, having played a total of eight matches in the previous season, with five points to his name.

New Young Player:

1. Vinay – Vinay's outstanding performance in the 9th season of PKL earned him a spot in the Titans' retention list for the upcoming season. In his debut season, Vinay impressed everyone, playing 15 matches and securing a total of 42 points, with 38 of them being raid points. His performance was notable when the Titans were out of the tournament, and he capitalized on the opportunities given to him. This is why Vinay has been retained.
