I want Pawan Sehrawat in U Mumba for PKL 10, says Jai Bhagwan

The young raider has been retained by the team for the upcoming season.
The champions of the Pro Kabaddi League season 2, U Mumba are currently engrossed in their preparations for the upcoming edition. The team has already released the list of retained and released players. The team has retained several raiders, including Jai Bhagwan, who was picked from the Khelo India University Games. He made a significant impact in these games, which is why U Mumba acquired him in the previous auction for a sum of 10 lakhs.
In his debut PKL season, Jai Bhagwan earned 75 points in 19 matches and stood at the 27th position in the overall raiding points category. This indicates his considerable talent.
Before the start of PKL 10, Jai Bhagwan had an exclusive conversation with Khel Now, discussing how his preparations for the upcoming season were progressing and what improvements the team needed.
It felt good to win the Junior Kabaddi World Championship
Jai Bhagwan was a part of the Indian team in the Junior Kabaddi World Championship, where the team won a gold medal. He expressed his happiness about this achievement, saying, "I enjoyed playing for the junior Indian team. We won a gold medal in the Indian team's jersey, which was a fantastic experience. Representing India in other countries and playing our national anthem there is a significant accomplishment."
Reason for drop in form last season
While Jai Bhagwan had a promising start in the 9th season, his performance declined as the season progressed. He believes that he is now preparing even harder for the next season.
He said, "In the previous season, I started well, but I couldn't perform well towards the end. However, this time, I am preparing to play at a higher level. I am working on my speed, which was lacking in the previous season. After PKL, we went to play in the Junior World Cup, and since then, I have been focused on my preparations. I have also made some changes in my technique."
Need experienced players like Pawan Sehrawat in the team
During the 9th season, U Mumba had a young team with fewer experienced players. However, Jai Bhagwan believes that U-Mumba needs experienced players who can guide them during tough times. He said, "The team needs experienced players. The biggest advantage of having experienced players is that they can guide us when we are not playing well. Personally, I would like players like Pawan Sehrawat to be a part of our team, and he could be the most expensive player in this season."
Opinion about the new coach
U Mumba has appointed Gholamreza Mazandarani from Iran as their head coach for PKL season 10. Gholamreza had previously been the head coach for U Mumba in the 2018 season, where the team finished second in Group A and made it to the playoffs.
Jai Bhagwan had high praise for the new coach, saying, "The new coach coming in pays a lot of attention to fitness, and we have to work on that. He has already sent us our routines, and we are following them completely. The coach is guiding us on all aspects."
Tips for young players to prepare for PKL
Jai Bhagwan also shared his thoughts on how young players can make it to PKL and what they need to do. He said, "Young players need to perform well first in university games and nationals. Additionally, performing well in junior tournaments is crucial because making a place in senior nationals is not easy. Your name can then enter the bidding from there."
