The team has selected many excellent players during the auction. This time the team will have the most successful defender of PKL, Fazel Atrachali, who will be in the leadership role of the team. Apart from this, there is also Mohammad Nabibaksh and these two players are going to be very important for the team. Fazel Atrachali’s pairing with Ram Mehar Singh will be seen this time.
This time Gujarat also has Rohit Gulia who is surprising everyone with his exploits in the raiding department. Rohit Gulia had an exclusive conversation with Khel Now on many issues regarding the new season. Let us know what he said.
There is no pressure on me from the vice-captaincy duty
Fazel Atrachali has been appointed the captain of Gujarat Giants for the upcoming season of PKL. So Rohit Gulia has been given the responsibility of vice-captaincy. Rohit Gulia has now been given a big responsibility and many times the players get scattered a bit under the pressure of captaincy or vice-captaincy but according to Rohit Gulia, there is no such pressure on him and he will play freely.
He said, “There is no pressure on me. There is no pressure at all and Coach sir will not let us take pressure. We have to play as a player only. We just have to pay attention to the junior players. Many times mistakes happen and work will be done to explain them. Junior players will also perform well.”
Role as vice-captain
Whenever Fazel Atrachali is not on the mat, the responsibility of Rohil Gulia, being the vice-captain, will increase and at that time he will have to take care of the team. According to Rohit Gulia, he will take decisions according to the circumstances and coaches will be present to guide him.
He said, “This thing is very important. You have to see what is the situation of your team. We have to pay attention to what is the situation of the team and what should be our next step. We have to think accordingly and a little I will get tips from outside also. I have to take great care of my team and I am confident that I will carry out this responsibility well. Our team is very intelligent.”
Training routine
The team of Gujarat Giants is working hard at the moment. The team does not want to leave any stone unturned in its preparations for the upcoming PKL season and for this, the team trains for 6-7 hours. Rohit Gulia told what is the routine of the players after this.
He said, “When you train so hard, it becomes very important to take the right diet. We focus a lot on this because if you do not take the right diet, then you will not be able to work so hard and there is also a possibility of injury. This will cause harm to the team. That’s why first of all we take diet and after that, the physio treats the minor injuries that the players have.”
