Exclusive: I am focused on guiding Bengal Warriors to playoffs in PKL 10: Nitin Rawal

The young all-rounder has described the team as very good this time.
The Bengal Warriors are fully prepared for another Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) season, PKL 10. Under the leadership of Maninder Singh, the team’s performance was not up to par in the previous season, and they aim not only to secure a spot among the top teams but also to claim the title this time. Bengal Warriors clinched the PKL title in the seventh season, but their performance has not been as impressive since then. In the last two seasons, the team has failed to make it to the playoffs.
Bengal Warriors had acquired the versatile player Nitin Rawal during the auctions for the 10th season, and he is expected to be a key player. Having recently participated in the Asian Games as part of the Indian team, Nitin Rawal’s confidence is likely to be boosted after playing at such a high level, making him a valuable asset for the team. Prior to the new PKL season, Nitin Rawal engaged in an exclusive interview about his gaming experiences.
The preparation of the Bengal Warriors for the 10th PKL season
The Bengal Warriors‘ team has made some excellent player selections this time, and they are determined to present a strong performance. Nitin Rawal expressed his happiness about joining the Bengal Warriors, stating, “The Bengal Warriors’ team is quite good, and both their raiding and defense are showing excellent performances. There are many outstanding players in the team, and I feel good being a part of this team.”
Routine of training sessions
Nitin Rawal also details the team’s training sessions, explaining, “In the morning, our focus is on fitness, and we work hard on it. In the evening, we train on the mat. Even during fitness sessions, attention is given to the skills of kabaddi.”
Personal goal for this season
Every player dreams of giving their best in each season and winning for their team. Nitin Rawal shares the same dream, expressing his desire for the team to qualify for the playoffs first. He said, “My first target is for the team to qualify for the playoffs. The team hasn’t made it to the playoffs in the last two years, so this time the first target is to get the team into the playoffs. After that, go on to play in the semi-finals and finals and lift the trophy.”
Dream of becoming the best defender
As an excellent all-rounder, Nitin Rawal showcased a strong performance in the recent Asian Games and Asian Kabaddi Championship. Now, he aims to deliver an outstanding performance in the PKL as well. Nitin Rawal expressed his wish to become the best defender of the season and also mentioned other raiders who could shine this season, saying, “I cannot name any one player because all the players are quite good. However, Maninder Singh, Bharat Hooda, and Arjun Deshwal are excellent players. Meanwhile, my personal dream is to become the best defender in the league.”
