PKL 10: Top five all-rounders to watch out for
These all-rounders can play a very important role.
Apart from raiders and defenders, all-rounders also hold great importance in the PKL. There are many all-rounders who either excel in defending or raiding exclusively. In the history of PKL up to this point, there have been numerous exceptional all-rounders who have consistently performed well. During the 10th season of PKL, many all-rounders have been selected, and these versatile players can contribute significantly to their respective teams. Let's identify the five all-rounders who are expected to perform well during the 10th season (PKL 10).
5. Prateek Dahiya (Gujarat Giants)
Prateek Dahiya is the best all-rounder for the Gujarat Giants. He delivered an outstanding performance in the 9th season of the Pro Kabaddi League. Prateek Dahiya had the opportunity to participate in 19 matches, during which he scored 183 points, making him the highest-scoring raider for the team. His contributions were pivotal in many matches, and for this reason, Gujarat Giants have high expectations for Prateek Dahiya once again.
4. Rohit Gulia (Gujarat Giants)
Rohit Gulia is an emerging all-rounder with significant potential. Rohit Gulia previously played for the Patna Pirates and also captained the Gujarat Giants. During the 9th season, he performed admirably while representing the Patna Pirates, amassing 148 points in 19 matches. This is why, after being released by the Patna Pirates, the Gujarat Giants acquired him in the auction. He has the potential to be an excellent all-rounder for the team.
3. Vijay Malik (UP Yoddha)
Vijay Malik, who played for Dabang Delhi in the last two seasons, is now part of the UP Yoddha team. Vijay Malik demonstrated maturity during the 9th season of PKL, and his contributions played a significant role in helping his team secure the title. He scored 82 points in 11 matches during the 9th season, and Dabang Delhi released him before the auction. Subsequently, UP Yoddha acquired him. Now, Vijay Malik will play alongside an excellent raider like Pardeep Narwal on the UP team, forming a potentially dangerous combination. Vijay is an exceptional assist player, and his performance can be extraordinary.
2. Nitin Rawal (Bengal Warriors)
Nitin Rawal played his first four seasons for the Jaipur Pink Panthers and then played the last season for the Haryana Steelers. In the 10th season, he will be seen playing for the Bengal Warriors. In the last season, he scored only 44 points in 22 matches, which might be the reason why Haryana Steelers released him. Nitin Rawal now boasts extensive experience in the PKL. He was also selected as an all-rounder in the Indian team for the Asian Games, which places him among the top players.
1. Mohammad Nabibakhsh (Gujarat Giants)
Finding an all-rounder like Mohammad Nabibaksh is a challenging task. He excels at influencing matches with his abilities in both raiding and defense. Moreover, he can also take on a leadership role when needed. When the Bengal Warriors clinched the title in the seventh season, it was largely due to Mohammad Nabibaksh's exceptional performance. What sets Nabibaksh apart is his ability to prevent the team from being 'all out' as long as he is on the mat, thanks to his expertise in 'super tackle.' Additionally, he excels in scoring crucial raid points.
