PKL 10: Top five raiders to watch out for

These raiders can lead their team to victory.

There is a lot of excitement among fans about the Kabaddi raiders. Raiders can change the course of a match by scoring four to five points in a single raid, and fans also enthusiastically cheer for them. When we talk about it, there have been many great raiders in the history of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) so far. Veteran raiders like Rahul Chaudhari, Ajay Thakur, and Anup Kumar have been part of PKL. Furthermore, numerous other raiders have consistently performed well over the last few seasons, making them superstar players for their respective teams.

Many raiders will be participating in the PKL 10. Among these, we have identified five raiders who have the potential to perform exceptionally well and are the focus of everyone’s attention.

5. Aslam Inamdar (Puneri Paltan)

Aslam Inamdar has been playing for Puneri Paltan for the last two seasons and will be entering his third season with the team. He led his team to victory in many matches last season, scoring 138 points in 17 matches, making him the second-highest scorer of raid points for his team. In light of this, the team aims to replicate his performance once again. Aslam Inamdar was also selected for the Indian team in the Asian Games, which signifies his status as an established player.

4. Maninder Singh (Bengal Warriors)

Maninder Singh, the captain of the Bengal Warriors, is one of the most successful raiders in PKL history. He has been with Bengal for several seasons. The team released him this time but reacquired him using the FBM card. Maninder Singh is a player with the ability to single-handedly win matches. No matter which team he plays for, they can rely on him for raiding. This time, too, there will be a significant responsibility on Maninder Singh to lead the Bengal Warriors to victory. He has the full potential to do so.

3. Pardeep Narwal (UP Yoddha)

Commonly known as the ‘Dubki King,’ Pardeep Narwal is the lead raider for UP Yoddha. He played a pivotal role in raiding for UP during the 9th season of PKL, amassing 220 raid points. Pardeep Narwal averaged 10 raid points per match last season and took charge of attacking in challenging situations. He is renowned for his strong performance during raiding, and it is expected that he will continue to excel in the upcoming season. He holds the record for the most raid points in PKL.

2. Naveen Kumar (Dabang Delhi)

Naveen Kumar made his PKL debut with Dabang Delhi and has been playing for them since. In just a few seasons, he has broken numerous records and remains one of the top raiders. Naveen Kumar scored 254 points in 23 matches last season, making him the third-best raider of the season. He showcased his exceptional skills in many matches. He is the sixth-highest raid point scorer in PKL history, which raises high expectations for him this time.

1. Pawan Sehrawat (Telugu Titans)

Pawan Sehrawat is the fifth-highest point scorer in PKL history, having accumulated 1037 points in 105 matches. This is why he has received the most expensive bids for the last two seasons. He became the most expensive player last season, and this time, he holds the record for the most expensive player in PKL history, having been bought by Telugu Titans for Rs 2 crore, 60 lakh, 50 thousand during the auction. Pawan Sehrawat’s base price was Rs 20 lakh, but Telugu Titans made a direct bid of Rs 1 crore for him, underscoring his importance to the team. Pawan Sehrawat will be playing for a new team, and therefore, expectations for his performance are exceptionally high.
