The start to their title defense hasn’t gone the way the Jaipur would have liked. They have just registered one win in the four games they have played. The encouraging fact is that they have fought well in every game and the margin of the loss is very minimal. A Raid or a tackle here and there could have changed the result in the favor of the two-time champions.

Arjun Deshwal has continued from where he left in the last season and on his off-day Ajit Kumar has stepped up to the plate. The defense has been walled by skipper Sunil Kumar and his corner combination of Sahul Kumar. If the likes of Ankush bring in some consistency then they can not only stop the opposition Raiders but also stop their winless streak.

After starting the season with two wins, Patna Pirates have succumbed to two defeats. The reason for the defeats is as clear as the direction of the sun rising. The defense has failed miserably with 34 and 22 unsuccessful tackles respectively in the last two matches. They have to put up a better show against Arjun Deshwal & Co. if they want to get five points.
