The Pirates would be hoping to surprise everyone with their lesser-known selections of fresh young players, as they usually do.

They retained the tall lanky Sachin Tanwar who will again be the key for the team in green & yellow. He has been a do-or-die raid expert in the past and will be interesting to see if he continues to raid during decisive moments. Neeraj Kumar, Manish, and Sajin Chandrasekar will be pioneers in fencing the defence of the three-time champions.

They will face a rather disappointing side. Telugu Titans lost their first game of the season. The raiding department did alright with Pawan Sehrawat grabbing a Super 10. More importantly, Rajnish played the perfect role of a support raider as he stayed on the mat continuously reviving his skipper whenever he was hunted down.

The team from the South would want to improve the performance of their defence. The cover combo of experienced Parvesh Bhainswal and Ajit Pawar failed to get a single point against Gujarat Giants. Sandeep Dhull should pull his socks up and stop the Raiders from Patna if they have to stop themselves from facing another loss.
