PKL 10: Chandran Ranjit is not fully fit says Haryana Steelers coach Manpreet Singh
Haryana Steelers produce defensive masterclass to outsmart Bengal Warriors in PKL 10.
In the 61st match of Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) Season 10, Haryana Steelers faced tough competition from Bengal Warriors, with an intense battle lasting for nearly 35 minutes. However, in the final 5 minutes, Haryana managed to secure a victory with a score of 41-35, escaping an all-out situation.
Shrikant Jadhav showed good form, but he did not receive significant support from Maninder Singh. On the other hand, Haryana’s defenders made several mistakes, but Shivam Patil’s super raid and a well-timed super tackle just before that ensured Haryana’s victory.
In the post-match press conference, Haryana Steelers‘ coach Manpreet Singh expressed satisfaction with the team’s performance. On the contrary, Bengal Warriors’ coach Baskaran Kasinathan attributed their loss to the inability to avoid the super tackle.
Chandran Ranjit is not fully fit – Manpreet Singh
Haryana Steelers’ coach, Manpreet Singh, mentioned, “We should not have kept Chandran Ranjit on the mat in the last 10 minutes because he is not completely fit. He has returned from an injury, but I am confident that he will be ready for the full 40 minutes of action in the upcoming matches.”
Even if we had lost, there would have been no sorrow – Manpreet Singh
Manpreet Singh, praising the outstanding defensive performance, said, “Haryana Steelers heavily depend on Mohit Nandal and Jaydeep Dahiya. If both captains perform well, the team’s morale gets a boost. Both have handled responsibilities well in training sessions and matches. Mohit has tackled Maninder before, so he was confident about tackling him again. When players show such confidence, it feels good. Today, even if we had lost, there would have been no sorrow because our defense made many good tackles.”
Reasons for the Bengal Warriors’ loss?
Bengal Warriors‘ coach, Bhaskaran Kasinathan, explained, “We were performing well in the match, but the super tackle happened, and their defense became very aggressive. In reality, our loss is due to the occurrence of the super tackle.”
