Jaipur Pink Panthers performed brilliantly and won all their home leg matches.

There were a lot of expectations going into the Jaipur leg of the Pro Kabaddi League Season 10 (PKL 10) and the teams gave it all for the fans. The home team Jaipur Pink Panthers dominated with four wins to almost assure a spot in the playoffs. The consistent performers of the season so far Ashu Malik and Shadloui didn’t take the leg off the pedal as they pressed their team to impressive wins which reflects the Team of the Jaipur leg.

PKL 10: Team of the Leg:

Raiders

Ashu Malik – Left In (Dabang Delhi)

Dabang Delhi suffered a loss after seven games with a loss to Gujarat Giants. But the season eight champions are still in the top three, thanks to stunning performances from their stand-in skipper Ashu Malik. With 27 points from two games, the Raider is slowly becoming a new Express from Delhi to watch out for. His strike rate has made the team from the Capital City a serious title contender.

Arjun Deshwal – Right In (Jaipur Pink Panthers)

At the start of the Jaipur leg, if anyone had given 50 points to Arjun Deshwal in his home leg, then the 24-year-old would taken it. He has delivered it with ease which helped his team propel to the top spot in the points table. It was refreshing to see the skipper not only get bonus points but also touch points which makes him a threatening Raider in all phases of the game.

Maninder Singh – Center (Bengal Warriors)

After suffering a slump in form, Bengal Warriors have started to rebuild their journey with twin wins in the Jaipur leg. The catalyst for their resurgence is their skipper Maninder Singh who led from the front scoring 23 points in two games. The season seven champion helped his team break a string of six games without a win with his performance and now running for a playoff spot.

All rounder

Mohammad Reza Chiyaneh – Left Corner (Puneri Paltan)

Puneri Paltan had a mixed bag in the Jaipur leg as they won one and lost one game. The results might vary but not the performance of the Mohammad Reza Chiyaneh who continues to grow from strength to strength. He was able to outshine in the battle of his countrymen as his team thrashed Fazel Atrachali’s Gujarat Giants. In the other game, Shadloui just fell short against Jaipur but it was enough to ensure him a spot in the Team of the Leg.

Defenders

Sombir – Right Corner (Gujarat Giants)

Gujarat had a tough schedule in the Jaipur leg as they faced two teams from the top three of the points table. One man who stood up to the challenge came from the Right corner of the team in orange as Sombir scored 10 points in two games. Despite an annihilation by Puneri Paltans, Sombir’s performance would have boosted his confidence and made him a valid entry in the Team of the Leg.

Reza Mirbagheri – Left Cover (Jaipur Pink Panthers)

Ever since the Chennai leg, Reza Mirbagheri has transformed into an altogether different player as his making telling impacts on the results of the game. The Jaipur leg saw him start it with a High-5 against Telugu Titans. Although he went pointless in the next game, the Iranian’s relentless defending earned him seven points against quality raiders from Haryana Steelers and U Mumba.

Sunil Kumar – Right Cover (Jaipur Pink Panthers)

Kabaddi is about complementing each other, especially the Cover defenders who need to be swift to capture the Raiders. Reza’s form has a positive impact on Sunil Kumar’s performance as well. The Jaipur leg presented the perfect opportunity as whenever the Iranian fumbled the Indian stepped up to ensure there is power to force the opposition Raiders out of the court.
