Many players performed well during the fifth leg of PKL 10.

Noida witnessed some top-notch Kabaddi action with many superstars coming good. Notably, Pardeep Narwal struck gold with a 21-point performance against his former team Patna Pirates. It also witnessed Bengaluru Bulls’ Surjeet Singh and Patna Pirates’ Manjeet showing stupendous performances. It also saw the birth of a new star in Parteek Dahiya who scored 25 points in a single game for Gujarat Giants.

PKL 10: Team of the Leg:

Raiders

Pardeep Narwal (UP Yoddhas)

The UP Yoddhas didn’t have a great home leg losing three games after starting with a win. But one man showed glimpses of his old self, where he dominated the opponents nonchalantly. It was against his former team Patna Pirates’ he displayed superior performance scoring 21 points. He is the lone man from the home team to be part of the ‘Team of the leg’.

Sachin Tanwar (Patna Pirates)

Pardeep might have scored 21 points but it was Patna Pirates who won the game. Thanks to Sachin Tanwar’s all round performance with touch points, bonus points and even tackle points. More than this his performance against an inform Haryana Steelers side has earned him a spot in this team.

Parteek Dahiya (Gujarat Giants)

While Gujarat Giants have fa solid and quality defensive line-up, it is the Raiders that have made the difference. While many have contributed to wins, this one performance from Parteek Dahiya has been the best for the season. Bengal Warriors was no lesser opposition but the 21-year old dominated the proceedings to give another win.

All rounder:

Mohammad Reza Chiyaneh (Puneri Paltan)

Shadloui is one of the most feared defenders in the Pro Kabaddi League going into his third full season (having been in the top two defenders in the two seasons before), flying the Iranian style of defense-heavy kabaddi high. Telugu Titans and UP Yoddhas were the victims in this leg as he dominated the Record Breaker and Hi-Flyer with ease.

Defender:

Reza Mirbagheri (Jaipur Pink Panthers)

Despite being winless in the first few games, the Pink Panthers are in third place at the end of the fifth leg of the season. Kudos to their defensive unit which is proving to be one the best in the competition. Reza is a brilliant addition and has been lethal in the Super Tackle situation. By virtue of his performance he makes it to the team.

Rahul Sethpal (Haryana Steelers)

The Steelers started their season with a devastating loss. They have recovered well from it and are on the ascendancy in the points table. Rahul Sethpal’s presence in the corner has made a huge difference. With ankle holds and heavy dashes, he has been a constant threat to the Raiders. In the Noida leg, they played against Pawan and Sherawat and came out successful against both Raiders.

Neeraj Kumar (Patna Pirates)

Patna Pirates is a squad that may not have superstars but rely on backing quality players who could deliver when it matters the most. Neeraj Kumar is one such player who has been with the team in the last four seasons. The right cover defender has not only been a quality captain but also in dismissing the opposition Raiders. He finds the same spot in the Team of the UP leg of PKL.
