PKL 10 Eliminator 2: Players to watch out for in Gujarat Giants vs Haryana Steelers match

These players will spearhead the attacks for their team in the knockout encounter.

We are done and dusted with the group stage fixtures of PKL 10 and now the focus shifts to the remaining six teams who battle it out in the playoffs. Puneri Paltan and Jaipur Pink Panthers have already booked a spot in the semi-finals as they finished in the top two of the league standings.

Gujarat Giants and Haryana Steelers will go up against each other to clinch an opportunity to book a meeting with Jaipur Pink Panthers in semi-final two. Both sides have had a very good campaign so far, but this will undoubtedly be the most important game for either side as the winner will continue his journey and the loser will go back home empty-handed.

Gujarat Giants

Prateek Dahiya

Prateek Dahiya has been a key player for Gujarat Giants this season. The raider is Gujarat Giants’ top points scorer this season with 136 points, including 6 super tens and is 12th among the highest point getters this season. Prateek is Gujarat’s main man upfront and has already displayed what he brings to the table. He will look to continue his fine form and help his team go one step further against the Haryana Steelers.

Rakesh

Rakesh has had one more good season in the top-flight league. He has hit triple digits for the third consecutive season and is expected to only get better in the matches to come. The raider has recorded 109 points this season and is the second highest points getter for the Giants. Moreover, he has been a great source of support for Prateel Dahiya this season and has acted perfectly as the team’s second raider.

Haryana Steelers 

Vinay

Vinay has written his success story in golden letters this season. After a couple of disappointing campaigns, the raider has bounced back stronger. He is the Haryana Steelers’ leader upfront and is their top scorer with 139 points in 20 matches. Moreover, Vinay has been in top form against the Gujarat Giants and has secured 18 points over the last couple of games. He ranks 10th on the list among the most raid points this season.

Jaideep Dahiya

The left-cover defender has been Haryana’s best defender this season and ranks sixth among the best defenders in the league. He has accumulated 67 tackle points with a success rate of close to 50% this season. Jaideep is robust at the back and will have the responsibility to neutralize the danger from Gujarat’s raiding department. In two games this season, the defender has managed to get five tackle points against the Giants.
