6 teams will get eliminated from the tournament.

The Pro Kabaddi League‘s tenth season (PKL 10) has provided fans with captivating action. First with the return of the caravan structure in the league, spectators can now watch both their favorite team play and their favorite players from the other clubs. Players have also been spectacular with constant travel and tight scheduling, they have stood up and produced top-notch action.

Even while players have generated some amazing Kabaddi moments, the outcomes are ultimately what count. Though not every club could make it to the playoffs, every fan would want their team to. With only six spaces available, each squad has exerted great effort to secure qualifying. But few teams are already out of the race. Let’s look at the teams that have stopped running in the playoff race.

1. Telugu Titans

The Telugu Titans became the first team to be eliminated in PKL season 10. Fans of the PKL aren’t surprised by their team’s current position at the bottom of the points table because they have seen similar in previous seasons. However, there were high expectations when they purchased Hi-Flyer Pawan Sehrawat at the beginning of the season.

The Titans have only accumulated 16 points after 18 games. Their point differential of -214 is the worst among all 12 participating teams in the competition. They might be at the bottom of the points table yet they have something to prove. They would want to win the remaining games to stop them from finishing the season in 12th place for the third consecutive season.

2. UP Yoddhas

With just four victories in their 18 tournament games thus far, UP Yoddhas are mired in the bottom half of the standings. With 29 points, the squad is ranked eleventh. The most points the Pardeep Narwal-led squad may accumulate at the end of the league stage is 49, fewer than the team now ranked sixth in the PKL 2023–24, provided they win all four of their remaining games.

UP Yoddhas had a strong start to the season, winning two of their first three games. However, they lost repeatedly and were unable to maintain the pace. The lack of form from two of their primary players Nitesh Kumar and Surinder Gill could be one of the main reasons to end up on the wrong side. Although they can’t run for the playoffs, they can play spoilsport in the chances of others.

U Mumba

When it comes to U Mumba, they spectacularly began their season, clinching victories in several consecutive matches. It seemed they would replicate their past season’s success, but after just a few contests, the team lost its way, failing to secure a single win out of their last 10 matches. So far, the team has played 20 matches, winning six and facing defeat in 10. They have tied in two matches.

With a score difference of minus 40, even winning all remaining matches wouldn’t guarantee them a spot in the playoffs. While the team hasn’t been officially eliminated yet, they won’t be able to make it to the playoffs. U Mumba currently stands at the 10th position in the points table and would aim to end the tournament on a high note by winning the remaining matches. With four matches remaining for the team, they will surely strive to secure victories in all of them.

Tamil Thalaivas

Tamil Thalaivas have been knocked out of PKL 10 after a challenging season. Despite playing 20 games so far, they only managed to accumulate 45 points with just 8 wins. As last year’s semifinalists, they struggled to find their rhythm throughout the entire season. Ashan Kumar’s coached side spent the majority of the season lingering near the bottom of the points table.
