Hopes of U Mumba is almost over with this loss.

The Bengaluru Bulls secured an important 42-37 win over U Mumba in match 104 of PKL 10 in a closely fought affair at the Thyagaraj Indoor Stadium in Delhi on Sunday. For the Bengaluru Bulls, Sushil bagged a SUPER 10 and Akshit got eight points, while Ran Singh completed his HIGH FIVE to keep the team afloat despite U Mumba raider Jai Bhagwan’s own SUPER 10.

U Mumba started brightly but the Bengaluru Bulls did not give them much leeway. The Bengaluru Bulls prevented ALL OUT chances on two separate occasions with excellent SUPER TACKLES by Left corner Parteek and All Rounder Ran Singh. But their resilience was broken by U Mumba raider Jai Bhagwan, who got his team’s first ALL OUT of the match.

I am pleased that senior players are performing well – Saurabh Nandal

Captain of the Bengaluru Bulls, Saurabh Nandal, said, “I am happy as the captain that senior players like Ran Singh and Surjeet Singh are performing well. Both have handled the team well. The coach advised us to play in a 5-defense strategy, and our strategy was not to give them any bonus points. Our strategy proved successful, leading us to achieve victory.”

We made several challenges in our team– Gholamreza Mazandarani

U Mumba’s coach, Gholamreza Mazandarani, said, “I will be clear that the chances of us making it to the playoffs are very low. Our team has some difficulties, such as injured Guman Singh, and the likelihood of him playing is very low. We have been facing a shortage of key players with injuries since the beginning of the season. In the match against Bengaluru Bulls, we attempted approximately 15 bonus points, but only 2-3 were successful due to a significant error in the raider’s performance.”

The team is facing a significant absence of Guman Singh due to injury- Surinder Singh

U Mumba’s captain, Surinder Singh, said, “We planned to play on the Do-or-Die raid from the beginning. We were unsuccessful in a crucial Do-or-Die raid, and they succeeded, leading to them taking the lead. From there, our team’s momentum started to decline. Guman Singh was playing very well in the tournament, but now the team faces a significant shortage.”
