Patna ended the 13-match unbeaten streak of Jaipur Pink Panthers and jumped two spots in the points table.

Another closely fought match in the Pro Kabaddi League Season 10 (PKL 10) saw the Patna Pirates seal an emphatic 36-33 win over the Jaipur Pink Panthers at the Thyagaraj Indoor Stadium in Delhi on Monday. Arjun Deshwal and Sudhakar M earned SUPER 10s for their respective teams, but it was the Patna Pirates who worked their way back to continue their unbeaten run to six matches.

Puneri Paltan became the second team to qualify for the playoffs of PKL 10, after a thrilling 30-30 tie with Dabang Delhi at the Thyagaraj Indoor Stadium today. In a neck-to-neck game, Aslam Inamdar (10 points) and Mohammadreza Chiyaneh (4 points) took their team over the line, helping them to the playoffs. Delhi needs one more win to qualify for the playoffs this season.

We successfully defended against Arjun Deshwal- Narender Redhu

Patna Pirates coach Narender Redhu said, “We knew Jaipur is a good team. We planned to stop Arjun Deshwal, and if successful, our victory was certain. Our defense was successful in stopping Arjun. In the previous match against Jaipur, Ajit took many points, so we also formulated a strategy to stop him. Our defense was working patiently, and even when there were mistakes in defense, our raiders kept us in the game.”

Sudhakar M was the difference maker for Patna Pirates- Sunil Malik

Jaipur Pink Panthers’ captain Sunil Kumar said, “During practice, the coach had mentioned that perhaps Patna would come out with three right raiders, and the coach’s words proved true. Abhishek has been providing great support, but when he couldn’t tackle Sudhakar M, the coach substituted him with Reza Mirbagheri. I believe Sudhakar played a significant role in Patna’s victory.”

The coach will decide Rahul Chaudhari’s game time

Sunil Kumar said, “Whether Rahul Chaudhari will play or not, the coach will decide. Currently, our main goal is to stay in the top 2, which will enable us to directly enter the semifinals. According to the opposition team, the coach will decide whether Rahul should play, so fans will see him on the mat if necessary.”
