These players will play a major role in helping their team qualify for the final.

After an action-packed first day in the knockouts of PKL 10, the expectations have reached the next level for the semi-finals. In today’s first game, Patna Pirates scripted an iconic comeback against Dabang Delhi and booked a meeting with Puneri Paltan in the first semi-final.

In the second match, the Haryana Steelers put up a dominant performance against the Gujarat Giants and secured a semi-final berth. The Steelers will lock horns against the Jaipur Pink Panthers in semi-final 2 on Wednesday.

On that note, let us take a look at the two key players for both Puneri Paltan and Patna Pirates as they gear up to go up against each other.

Puneri Paltan

Aslam Inamdar

Aslam is an invaluable asset for Puneri Paltan. He has been one of the most consistent performers for his side over the last three seasons having crossed the 150 points mark every season. The Indian all-rounder is known for his flamboyant style of raiding and ability to squeeze out points from the toughest situations. He is Puneri Paltan’s top scorer this season with 157 raid points and 25 tackle points. He will do everything in his power to get his side over the line this season after having taken them to the final last season.

Mohammadreza Chiyaneh

The young Iranian powerhouse made it to headlines after becoming the most expensive foreign buy in the history of the league. And he has lived up to all the hype and his heavy price tag. The defender is not just Puneri Paltan’s best defender but is also leading the charts for the most number of tackle points this season. Chiyaneh has recorded 92 tackle points and 27 raid points in 22 matches this season. He will have a crucial role to play in the game against his former side having scored 11 points against them this season.

Patna Pirates

Sachin Tanwar

Patna Pirates’ skipper has led his side from the front throughout the group stage fixture and the story was no different in the eliminator. Sachin stood tall and scored nine points in the eliminator to get his side over the line against Dabang Delhi. He has already scored 179 points and ranks sixth in the list of the highest point-getters this season. Sachin has scored 17 points against Puneri Palta this season and will want to continue his fine form against them.

Manjeet

Manjeet is Patna Pirates’ second-best raider this season. The raider has secured 111 raid points in 21 games and is the 16th-best raider in the league this season. Manjeet played a crucial role against Dabang Delhi by scoring five crucial points, including the winning point for his side. In two matches against the Puneri Paltan this season, Manjeet has scored eight points. He is currently high on confidence after helping his side move into the semi-final and will be hoping to build upon it.
