Green Arm Band is given to the player with the most raid points in the season.

For its ten-year existence, PKL has witnessed some of the top raiders from both India and overseas put on incredible shows and pull off astounding raids. Indian kabaddi has also advanced thanks to the competition; Players like Pardeep Narwal and Pawan Sehrawat initially gained recognition in this league before becoming regulars for the Indian squad.

An exciting group of raiders participates in the annual Kabaddi tournament with the likes of Arjun Deshwal and Naveen Kumar, which is unique to India. Here are the top three players who have the best chance of taking home the green armband in PKL 10.

Ashu Malik – Dabang Delhi KC

If someone had made a list on the same topic when the tournament started, no one would have written Ashu Malik’s name on the list. Even after the first three weeks of the tournament, the experts were talking about Naveen Express when one man was slowly but steadily making his presence felt. But an unfortunate shoulder injury to Naveen Kumar in the Chennai leg proved to be a blessing in disguise as the 23-year-old showed his capabilities.

With 222 Raid points, Ashu has led the Raiding charts of the season. More than that stat, Ashu’s tally of most successful Raids of 190 has shown his fitness and continued attack against the defensive units of the opposition. With Dabang Delhi KC assured of a playoff berth, he will play more games and could retain the green armband at the end of the season.

Arjun Deshwal – Jaipur Pink Panthers

As the most impressive raider of Season 9, Arjun Deshwal was duly awarded the title of Most Valuable Player (MVP). Throughout 24 games, he recorded the most Super 10s of the season with 17 and racked up 296 raid points. The gold medallist from the Asian Games has continued to accumulate points this season, placing him in second place with 213 Raid Points.

He has led his squad to victory more often than not this season, with 13 Super 10s to his credit. Arjun Deshwal is regarded as one of the best players in PKL history, and great expectations surround his ability to repeat his heroic exploits this season to take the green armband.

Sachin Tanwar – Patna Pirates

Patna Pirates is a team known to have superstar Raiders who have led them to titles. While Sachin Tanwar might not have the stardom of Pardeep Narwal or Rohit, when it comes to performance on the mat the 24-year-old has delivered it to the tilt.

One thing that makes Sachin Tanwar stand out is his strike rate in do-or-die raids. With 33 points from do-or-die raids, this Pirates has stolen points from the toughest of the situations. Sachin might be lagging in the race but with the Pirates qualifying for the playoffs and might play the eliminator and semifinals, he could push to get the armband which is in the same color as their jersey.
