Telugu Titans officially announce Krishan Kumar Hooda as head coach for PKL 11
The newly appointed coach has won one PKL title in his career so far.
Former PKL-winning coach Krishna Kumar Hooda has been appointed as the new Head coach of Telugu Titans. The move comes after Telugu Titans finished at the bottom of the points table for the third consecutive season. With only one way to go from now on, the team from the south has decided the hand over the mantle to the experienced Hooda to show the way.
Few people in the Pro Kabaddi League are as good as the impeccable Krishan Kumar Hooda as coaches go. He is regarded highly for his contributions to the game of kabaddi and is a seasoned player. Players like Vijay Malik, Naveen Kumar, and others rose to fame under his skilled tutelage. He was awarded the esteemed Dronacharya award and is still instrumental in the development of kabaddi as a national sport.
He led Dabang Delhi KC to the finals of season seven and then went one step ahead to clinch the title for the first time in season eight. The announcement came through a post on their social media page which quoted saying, “His experience and expertise will lead the squad in upcoming seasons” as they welcomed the Dronacharya Awardee.
Hooda is known for backing his players to the tilt and has a knack for building a strong squad in the auction as well. With the next season of PKL just months away, all franchises will have no time to start preparing for the auction. It will be interesting to see if the man from Karnal retains the Indian skipper Pawan Sehrawat for whom they spent more than 50% of their total budget.
