These players performed exceptionally throughout the season.

Puneri Paltan defeated the Haryana Steelers to win the PKL 10. Both sides competed fiercely in the championship game, in which Puneri Paltan ultimately prevailed. It’s their first time winning the PKL championship. This season saw several players have excellent performances from many players across all the teams.

Puneri Paltan and Haryana Steelers players in particular put up incredible performances, and both of these teams advanced to the finals. While picking the Team of the season, it was difficult to look beyond the players from the squads that played in the finals. Let’s look at the players who made the cut.

PKL 10 Team of the Season:

Raiders

Ashu Malik (Dabang Delhi KC)

Ashu Malik, the captain of Dabang Delhi, was adjudged this season’s best raider. Ashu Malik was the main reason the squad made it to the elimination round this season. The Chennai leg saw Naveen Kumar, the team’s star raider, being sidelined by injury. After that, Ashu Malik performed a great job managing the raiding duties and made sure that Naveen Kumar’s absence was never noticed. He finished 23 matches with 276 raid points in the tenth season of PKL. This season, Ashu Malik completed a maximum of nine super raids and earned a maximum of 41 points in do-or-die raids.

Arjun Deshwal (Jaipur Pink Panthers)

Just like how the Pink Panthers were the favorite to defend their PKL title at the start of the season, Arjun Deshwal was also expected to defend his title of Best Raider of the season. He lived up to the expectations as the 24-year-old had a fantastic season with the Jaipur Pink Panthers. He finished with 276 points from 23 games. Arjun Deshwal almost always carried the team to victory on his own. This season, Arjun Deshwal also performed seven incredible raids.

Aslam Inamdar (Puneri Paltan)

Aslam Inamdar, the captain of Puneri Paltan, was chosen as this season’s Most Valuable Player. Playing 23 games this season, he scored 26 tackle points and 142 raid points. Aside from that, he did a fantastic job leading. He received the title of Most Valuable Player of the Season for this effort not only as an all-rounder but also as the skipper. He was the team’s leading raid point scorer and made a huge impact with his partnership with Shadloui.

Mohammadreza Chiyanneh (Puneri Paltan)

It was no surprise as Mohammadreza Shadloui was the top defender in the tenth PKL season. In 24 games, he scored 99 tackle points. He would have tied the record of 100 tackle points in a season held by Nitish Kumar if he had scored one more point. But, he created more records as he became the fastest player to 250 Tackle points. In addition, he occasionally scored significant points during raids. Puneri Paltan’s defense was expertly commanded by Shadloui, who also became the team’s champion.

Defenders

Krishan Dhull (Patna Pirates)

Krishnan Dhull, a right corner specialist for the Patna Pirates, finished as the second-best defender this season and is included in the “Team of the Season.” It appeared that Patna would miss Mohammadreza Shadloui greatly after his release, but Krishan prevented that from happening. This season, he played well, amassing 78 points in 24 games. Due to the excellent defensive effort of the duo of Krishan and Ankit, Patna was able to advance to the playoffs.

Jaideep Dahiya (Haryana Steelers)

Jaideep Dahiya, the captain of the Haryana Steelers, is a left cover for the Team of the Season. This season, he performed incredibly well. In 23 games, Jaideep Dahiya accumulated 68 tackle points. His contribution with the defensive trio of himself, Mohit Nandal, and Rahul Sethpal. He did a great job supporting all the defenders and helped them qualify for the finals for the first time.

Mohit Nandal (Haryana Steelers)

Haryana Steelers’ journey to the finals was ensured by Mohit Nandal who finished as the second-best defender for them. In 24 games, he scored 70 tackle points. He made a huge impact in getting the Haryana Steelers to the championship game as he was asked to lead the side in a few games. The 25-year-old right-cover defender was a key player in the team’s success in numerous games. and as rightfully taken his place in the “Team of the Season”.
