These raiders were on top of their form throughout the season.
Puneri Paltan emerged victorious in the tenth edition of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL 10). the young Puneri Paltan side won the championship for the first time in the team’s history. Puneri Paltan was, without a doubt, the greatest side in the competition and were well-equipped to handle everything that came their way.
After losing the previous season’s championship match, Puneri Paltan scripted a fantastic comeback story this season and went all the way to win the title. Raiders play an important role for their teams and are the fan favorites for a reason.
On that note, let us take a look at the top raiders from PKL 10.
5. Narender (Tamil Thalaivas) – 186 points
Narender finished as the fifth-best raider in the league this season. He scored 186 raid points for the Tamil Thalaivas in 21 games this season. He averaged almost nine points per match and also made four super raids in the process. Moreover, Narender also recorded 11 Super 10s in the 21 games he played.
4. Maninder Singh (Bengal Warriors) – 197 points
Maninder Singh ranks fourth in the list of the raiders who have scored the most number of raid points this season. The Bengal Warriors’ skipper recorded 197 raid points in 21 games this season. He was also his side’s top scorer, averaging 9.38 points per match. Maninder scored nine Super 10s and five Super raids.
3. Pawan Sehrawat (Telugu Titans) – 202 points
Pawan Sehrawat did very well on a personal level, but his team had a season to forget as they finished at the bottom of the table yet again. Pawan ranks third in the list of the best raiders of PKl 10. He scored 13 Super 10s and five super raids this season and maintained an average of 9.62 points per match. He made an incredible comeback this season after being sidelined due to an injury last season.
2. Arjun Deshwal (Jaipur Pink Panthers) – 276 points
Arjun Deshwal finished as the second-best raider in the league this season. He scored 276 raid points and finished on level terms with Ashu Malik. Arjun won the green sleeve last season and displayed an equally consistent performance this season. He averaged 12 raid points per match while recording seven super raids and 17 super 10s in the process.
1. Ashu Malik (Dabang Delhi KC) – 276 points
Ashu Malik won the green band and was adjudged as the best raider of PKL 10 for his heroics on the mat. He also scored 276 points and was tied on points with Arjun Deshwal, but since he had more points in do-or-die raids, he was announced as the winner. Ashu stepped up in the absence of star raider Naveen Kumar and led his side to the playoffs. It was his best-ever PKl campaign where he averaged 12 points per match and recorded 15 Super 10s and nine Super raids.
