These legendary players have dominated the league over the years.

Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) fever is right up there with fans eagerly waiting for the season to begin. The 9th edition of the prestigious tournament is set to be played from October 7, 2022. After the successful auction earlier this month, Kabaddi fans can’t wait to see their favourite players in the arena.

We have all seen the Test or ODI XI of all time in cricket. Today, we brought you the greatest Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) team of all time (Indians) to town, where there will be 7 players who deserve to be in the squad. Here are the champion players who made the cut:

Raiders

Maninder Singh, Pardeep Narwal

Maninder Singh is someone who has taken the PKL tournament by storm in the past few years He rose to prominence at a rate unrivalled to this day. Maninder, who has been retained by the Bengal Warriors for this year’s PKL, has 993 raid points in 101 matches. His consistent performance helps him make the cut on the list.

Another obvious choice in the raiding department, Pardeep Narwal, is an absolute legend of the game. Known as the ‘Dubki King’, Pardeep became the first-ever player to cross the 1000-point mark at an average of 10.29 raid points per match. This means he is scoring Super 10 in every match. Isn’t it crazy? Well, he will be the lead raider for this squad. So far in the PKL, he has 1348 raid points in 131 games, and the legendary player would like to increase this number to a large extent in the upcoming edition while playing for UP Yoddha.

Defenders

Surjeet Singh and Ravinder Pahal

There were a lot of thoughts regarding which defender to keep between Mohit Chhilar and Surjeet Singh, but we ended up opting for Surjeet because of his better consistency rate. Undoubtedly, Mohit has been brilliant since the tournament’s inception, but Surjeet is one of the very few players who have touched the 300-point mark in the defense department in the PKL. He has 331 points in 114 matches. In the upcoming edition, he will play for the Telugu Titans.

Ravinder Pahal has been one of the best corner defenders to have played in the PKL. Known as ‘The Hawk, the defender has 338 tackle points in 120 matches. Despite missing several games due to injury, his numbers have always been phenomenal, which makes him an obvious choice for this top seven.

All-Rounders

Manjeet Chillar (c), Sandeep Narwal and Deepak Niwas Hooda

Many would have thought why there is no Manjeet Chhillar in the defender’s category, but his exceptional raiding skills can’t be ignored either. Manjeet is one of the few players who has been amazing in both departments. He was a member of the Dabang Delhi team that won the PKL title in Season 8. He has been the most successful defender in the tournament’s history with 391 tackle points in 132 matches. In the 8 season of the PKL he also has 225 raid points. Manjeet will lead this side because of his experience in Kabaddi over the years.

Sandeep Narwal is also in the list of defenders who scored more than 300 tackle points till date. The all-rounder has 348 tackle points to his name so far in 149 matches. His exceptional defending skills earned him the spot in the all-time PKL team. Sandeep was a part of Dabang Delhi in the previous edition where he played an important role in making his team victorious. He is one of the few players who have scored 500 and more points by combining raiding and defense in the league.

Even by being famous as a raider, Deepak Niwas Hooda has 246 tackle points in his PKL career, which is a magnificent number. His raiding career is even better, with 973 points in 140 matches. Deepak has been there since the inception of the PKL, and he is not ready to look back. He will play for the Bengal Warriors in the upcoming edition of the tournament.
