Arjun Deshwal has become the seventh player to reach 1000 raid points.

Jaipur Pink Panthers captain Arjun Deshwal became the second-fastest player to reach the elusive mark of 1000 raid points in the Pro Kabaddi League. Arjun who is seventh in the list of players with the most raid points in the history of PKL took only 97 matches to reach the mark. He achieved the milestone during the PKL 11 game against UP Yoddhas at the Gachibowli Stadium in Hyderabad.

However, Dabang Delhi captain Naveen Kumar remains the fastest player to reach the mark doing so in just 90 matches. Now with 1029 points in 95 matches, he sits fifth in the list of players with most raid points in Pro Kabaddi League history.

Arjun Deshwal’s stellar impact in PKL

Jaipur Pink Panthers captain Arjun Deshwal‘s performance since joining the team in Season 8 has been excellent. His consistent raiding skills earned him the title of Most Valuable Player (MVP) in PKL Season 9 when he scored a remarkable 296 raid points and played a crucial role in helping Jaipur secure the championship title.

This season, Arjun Deshwal is continuing to show why Jaipur has placed their faith in him as captain. In the first six matches of PKL 11, Deshwal has earned 49 raid points, averaging 8.16 points per match. His “Not Out” rate of 72.52% reflects his ability to stay on the mat and keep scoring, while his successful raid rate of 53.84% from 91 attempts highlights his attacking skill. His 19-point match-winning performance against Telugu Titans remains his best so far.

While Jaipur have had a rollercoaster ride in PKL 11, Arjun Deshwal remains their best bet which is evident with the imminent coaches relaying the fact that the key to winning against the Pink Panthers remains containing him.

Jaipur Pink Panthers have slumped to the eighth position in the Pro Kabaddi after being winless in their last three matches before facing UP Yoddhas, but if someone can turn the tide around for them, it will have to be the captain Arjun Deshwal himself.
