Women's Kabaddi World Cup 2025 Day 2 Results: India & three other teams emerge victorious

The Indian women’s team placed second in the Group A points table of Kabaddi World Cup 2025.
The second edition of the Women’s Kabaddi World Cup is underway, and all teams are giving their best to keep their dreams of lifting the prestigious trophy alive.
Day 1 of the tournament saw dominant performances from the Asian teams, as Bangladesh, Iran, Nepal, and Chinese Taipei registered convincing victories.
Day 2 was no different, with more exciting action on display. The Indian Women’s Kabaddi Team began their campaign with a commanding win over Thailand, showcasing complete dominance in both raiding and defense.
Zanzibar also registered their first win, while Iran and Bangladesh continued their winning streak with another victory. The Indian team entered the tournament as the defending champions, having won the inaugural World Cup in 2012 by defeating Iran 25–19 in the final held at the Patliputra Sports Complex in Patna.
Results of the second day
The Indian Women’s Kabaddi Team made a commanding start to their World Cup campaign by inflicting an early all-out on Thailand within the opening minutes, which completely shifted the momentum of the match. Thailand failed to recover from that setback, as India maintained control with their aggressive raiding and rock-solid defense.
The defending champions dominated the match throughout and secured a big win, 65-20. Chhattisgarh’s Sanju Devi was the standout performer of the game, who stole the show with her outstanding performance. She scored a brilliant Super 10, finishing with 14 raid points.
In the second game, Zanzibar created history by winning their first-ever World Cup match, defeating Poland one-sidedly 79–10. The hosts, Bangladesh, continued their winning run by thrashing Germany in the third game of the day, 57–27. In the last match of the day, Iran secured their second victory of the tournament by beating Kenya 42–10.
Upcoming games of the Indian team
The Indian Women’s Kabaddi Team will face the host nation, Bangladesh, on 19th November in what promises to be an exciting contest. Both teams are coming off dominant victories and will be eager to continue their winning momentum.
After that, India will take on Germany on November 20, followed by their final group-stage match against Uganda on November 21.
The team will play four matches during the group stage and will aim to finish in the top two to secure a place in the semi-finals. With their strong start and solid form, the defending champions will be looking to maintain their rhythm and move one step closer to the coveted world title.
