PKL 11: 3 key players of Telugu Titans in Pro Kabaddi League season 11

The Pawan Sehrawat-led outfit will be looking to win their first title.

The eleventh edition of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL 11) is almost upon us and all the efforts put in by the teams on the auction will be up on display from October 18 onwards. Telugu Titans will return to action with hopes of getting back to winning ways after a few disappointing seasons. The Titans have assembled a good squad and are surely one of the teams to watch out for.

Pawan Sehrawat has been retained and will continue to lead the side under the supervision of new head coach Krishan Kumar Hooda. The Dronacharya Awardee will be keen to get the Titans back on track after three back-to-back bottom-place finishes. They do have a revamped unit in place alongside a new gaffer, but it remains to be seen if they have what it takes to go the distance and give their huge fanbase a reason to celebrate.

On that note, let’s take a look at the three key players of Telugu Titans in PKL 11.

Pawan Sehrawat (All Rounder)

PKL’s most expensive player Pawan Sehrawat will once again captain Telugu Titans. The Titans splashed a whopping ₹1.725 crores to retain their superstar signing for the latest edition of the league. Sehrawat is considered to be among the greatest raiders that the league and India have ever witnessed. His speed, strength, and versatility on the mat make him an unstoppable force. He accumulated the third most number of points in the league last season (217).

Vijay Malik (All Rounder)

Vijay Malik is among the best recruits made by Titans during the auction. He has been one of the most underrated and consistently performing Indian players in the league over the past few seasons. He is known for his heroics at Dabang Delhi but had a quiet outing for the UP Yoddhas in the last edition. Malik offers balance to the squad with his expertise in both attack and defense and is expected to be an impactful addition for the Titans. 

Krishan Dhull (Defender)

Krishan Dhull is the best new signing for the Telugu Titans who have struggled to keep a strong backline over the past three seasons. Dhull comes in as the solution to the Titans’ defensive woes and will add a lot of solidity and will be a leader at the back. He had a breakthrough season in PKL 10 and turned out to be the best defender for the Patna Pirates while accumulating 78 tackle points, the second-highest in the league.
