The tournament will help to grow and promote talent in the country.

Maha Mumbai Kabaddi League is round the corner. SportVot in association with Abhinav Kala Krida Mandal has launched the tournament with an aim to celebrate the sport of kabaddi and explore and empower the gen-next athletes.  The tournament is a testament to the changing attitude of the youth of India towards their career choices.

These days youth are craving newer & better opportunities, and fresher platforms to showcase their talent. The number of people looking at sports as a profession is growing and that is a positive sign but it is also disheartening to see the lack of opportunities and lack of exposure available for these talented young individuals.

SportVot felt the need to create a platform where players from grassroots levels will be empowered not just by providing them with the exposure to showcase their talent but also by helping them monetize their game and thus, back them financially to pursue the sport as a profession! And that’s what has been the soul behind reviving and expanding the Maha Mumbai Kabaddi League. A league that was started in 2018 by Abhinav Kala Krida Mandal is now entering its third season, all decked up to celebrate the sport.

There are more than 60000 registered Kabaddi players with 1200+ clubs and 6000+ teams in the financial capital of the country. Such a large pool of talent is going unnoticed because of the lack of opportunities. The Maha Mumbai Kabaddi League is designed to address and eliminate this issue.

The league is structured in such a way that every player, no matter where he/she comes from or which club or team they are representing currently; will get selected on the basis of their talent. The process of choosing players is also going to be through auctions, thus ensuring that fair chances are given to every team and every athlete.

Maha Mumbai Kabaddi League is held by SportVot in association with Abhinav Kala Krida Mandal. SportVot as a company is built on the idea of providing grassroots players and sporting associations state of the art facilities to take their game forward.

“The Maha Mumbai Kabaddi League is designed for the development and upliftment of grassroots players. We at SportVot have streamed more than 7500 kabaddi matches and have created digital player identities for more than 35000 kabaddi players, PAN India; and we have now taken up the baton in association with Abhinav Krida Mandal to safeguard and enhance the future of Kabadi in Mumbai”, says Sidhhant Agarwal, the Founder and CEO of SportVot.

He further added, “The league was launched on the 12th of April and within a span of four days we have already sold four franchises. The response we are getting for this league is overwhelming and we hope it continues to be so. The revival of the Maha Mumbai Kabaddi league is a matter of extreme pride for us and we can’t wait to share all the details about the tournament and are more than excited to witness the games.
