The seventeenth match of Pro Kabaddi League 11 (PKL 11) will see two former champions (MUM vs BEN), with identical starts to their PKL 11 campaigns, taking on each other.

Season 2 Champions U Mumba suffered a 36-28 defeat against Dabang Delhi KC on the PKL 11 opening night. However, their defence put on a stellar performance, as they defeated the Gujarat Giants 33-27 in their second PKL 11 match on Wednesday.

On the contrary, season 7 champions Bengal Warriorz had their raiding unit firing as a unit, as they defeated a strong UP Yoddhas outfit 32-29 on Thursday, after having lost 34-39 to the Jaipur Pink Panthers in their first PKL 11 match.

Amirmohammad Zafardanesh had impressed everyone in his debut season last time, by displaying quick feet on the mat. With a lot of eyes upon him, the Iranian all-rounder has again managed to deliver in the first two matches.

While he was sent onto the bench five times in super tackle situations against Delhi, he scored 11 points in that match. This was followed by another good outing against the Giants, where he scored 10 points. Against a well-rounded Warriorz unit, he would be again hoping to contribute in both offence and defence.

Nitesh Kumar (Bengal Warriorz)

Nitesh Kumar, the only player to have scored 100 points in a single season of the PKL, hasn’t been at his best for the last few seasons. Subsequently released by the Yoddhas, he was picked up at the auctions by the Warriorz, where he has had an inauspicious start.
