National Games Kabaddi: Haryana continues their dominance on day 2

The players are gearing up the PKL 9.
Men's
Group A
Services beat Tamil Nadu (45-31)
The scorecard might depict that Tamil Nadu gave up easily but after trailing in the 1st half 12-19 they came back stronger for the next quarter. Tamil Nadu has a pretty good raiding unit with Chandran Ranjith but they couldn't capitalize on the momentum in the final stages losing by a big margin. With this loss, Tamil Nadu is out of the National Games Kabaddi having lost to Maharashtra yesterday.
Maharashtra beat Chandigarh (60-21)
After a victory over Tamil Nadu in the previous game, Maharashtra beat Chandigarh by 39 point margin. Chandigarh along with TN are out of the tournament but will have a consolation 3rd group match to play.
Group B
Haryana beat Gujarat (55-26)
Haryana dominated both halves beating Gujarat by a good margin. In the 1st round match Gujarat had beaten Goa who was the semi-finalist at the Senior Kabaddi Championships. A much better performance was expected from Gujarat. Gujarat now has to beat Uttar Pradesh to stay alive in the tournament.
Goa beat Uttar Pradesh (53-16)
After a loss against Gujarat, Goa decimated Uttar Pradesh beating them with 37 point margin. Goa has a tough task in hand as it will be a crucial encounter for them against Haryana in the next match. If Goa loses and Gujarat wins the next round then Gujarat qualifies for the knockout stages.
Women's
Group A
Maharashtra beat Gujarat (46-22)
Maharashtra put up a good performance beating a young Gujarat side by 24 point margin. The team looks in red hot form having already defeated Himachal Pradesh the favorites in the 1st round.
Himachal Pradesh beat Bihar (41-17)
The favourites Himachal Pradesh beat Bihar comprehensively and will have to beat Gujarat in the 3rd round to qualify for the knockout stage.
Group B
Haryana beat Punjab (43-15)
Haryana after beating TN in the 1st round beat Punjab and are comfortably through to knockouts.
Tamil Nadu beat Rajasthan (walkover)
Rajasthan is probably not taking part in the National Games Kabaddi as yesterday too they gave a walkover to Punjab. The winner from the TN and Punjab match in the 3rd round along with Haryana will sail through to the semi-finals.
