Haryana Steelers have not won the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) title even once. The team looks very good every season and many big names have played for this team till now but the Haryana Steelers have failed to win the title. Last season, Haryana Steelers won 10 out of 22 matches and faced defeat in 10 matches and two matches were tied. The team ranked seventh in the points table. If Haryana had won just one more match, they would have gone to the playoffs. However, the team could not go to the playoffs and they would like to perform better in PKL 10.
Haryana Steelers bought 9 players during the auction and also retained eight players. This time the team has strengthened its raiding department and included veteran raiders like Siddharth Desai in the team. Apart from this, there is also Chandran Ranjit. Apart from Siddharth Desai, Chandran Ranjit will be the second raider in the team. The team bought Chandran Ranjit during the auction for a huge amount of Rs 62 lakhs and that is why he is certain to play as an assist raider to Siddharth Desai.
If we talk about other raiders, the team has two more big options in the form of Vinay Tewatia and K Prapanjan. Since the team already has a left raider in the form of Chandran Ranjeet, Vinay Tewatia can be given a chance, as he is a right raider. His arrival will bring variety to the team’s combination.

Responsibility will be on Jaideep Dahiya and Mohit Nandal in defense.
The coach of Haryana Steelers is Manpreet Singh, who gives a lot of importance to defense. This is the reason why the team retained six defenders before the auction. Jaideep Dahiya and Mohit Nandal were also among them. Jaideep Dahiya scored 54 points in 21 matches last season. He showed the most powerful game in defense for the team. Jaideep got good support from Mohit Nandal, who scored 45 points in 21 matches. In such a situation, Jaideep in left cover and Mohit Nandal in right cover can be part of the starting seven.
If we talk about corners, Haryana Steelers have players like Monu Hooda, Naveen Kandu, Mohit, Hardeep and Rahul Setpal. Rahul Setpal performed well while playing for U Mumba and that is why he can be played in the right corner. Naveen Kundu can be a part of the starting seven in the left corner, as the team have retained him. Last season, Naveen scored 9 points in just two matches and showed that he has a lot of strength. In such a situation, he can be a part of the starting seven.
