When is auction date of PKL 11? Pro Kabaddi League season 11 auction date

Season 11 may kickoff in July.

The 11th season of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL 11) is set to return to its original July – September window in 2024. Teams will start preparing for the season and it all starts with the player Auction. The host broadcaster Star Sports, which is hosting the Indian Premier League currently, has worked with the PKL organizers to conduct the Auction at the end of May.

According to the Khel Now sources, the broadcaster who played a key role in the origin of PKL has expressed their desire to have the Auctions by the last week of May. The 2024 IPL final is scheduled for the 26th of May and with the first match of the ICC T20 World Cup set to happen on June 2nd, the final week presents the best opportunity to conduct the Auctions.

It will also give a month for the franchises to regroup with their new squads and prepare for the season. A few teams have already started preparing for the season with the appointment of new coaches with Krishna Kumar Hooda taking over Telugu Titans and Joginder Narwal being promoted to Head Coach of Dabang Delhi. But the action would heat up during the Auction.

The Auction in the last few seasons has witnessed numbers getting higher and higher. Pawan Sehrawat was the highest-bid player in season 9 (2.26 cr) and season 10 (2.605 cr). It was the Raiders who ruled the roost with the likes of Nitin Tomar (season 5), Monu Goyat (season 6), Siddharth Desai (season 7), and Pardeep Narwal (season 8) have fetched the highest bids. It will be interesting to see who is the one in this season.
