PKL 11 auction Day 1 saw as many as eight players go above the Rs 1 crore mark.
Season 11 of the Pro Kabaddi League had a rollicking Start with the first day of the auction producing extraordinary fireworks. Tamil Thalaivas made the biggest headlines breaking the bank with the signing of Sachin Tanwar for Rs 2.15cr. Telugu Titans were busy and made two quality signings by reacquiring Pawan Sehrawat using an FBM card.
They also insured their right corner with the signing of Krishan Dhull at just Rs 70 lakh. Patna Pirates filled the gap left by Krishan with the buying of Shubham Shinde for the same amount. His former team Bengal Warriors denied using the FBM, but they came out smiling with two steals of the day starting with Fazel Atrachali for just Rs 50 lakhs.
They re-signed Maninder Singh for Rs 1.15 cr using the FBM card after the Bengaluru Bulls made the highest bid for the star raider. Guman Singh bagged a massive Rs 1.96 cr from the Gujarat Giants. Haryana Steelers and Manpreet Singh started the day with the historic bid of Rs 2.07cr for the Iranian all-rounder Mohammadreza Shadloui. With so much action on the first day, the second day promises to involve more strategy.
Teams will be going into the auction with not much in the purse, but they will have a lot of holes to be filled in their team. Each team should have a minimum of 18 players and a maximum of 25 players. The overseas slots can range from two to four players. The players in Category C and D with base prices of Rs 13 and 9 lakhs will be up for grabs on Friday.

The pool includes other domestic names in addition to the players released by the franchises following Season 10. A total of 24 players from the two Khelo India University Games 2024 finalists will also be included in the player pool.

Day 2 of the Pro Kabaddi League Season 11 players auction will take place on August 16, 2024, from 10 AM to 5:30 PM.

The second day will see more players, specifically domestic stars, go under the hammer in a private hotel in Mumbai.
