Both teams would like to start their journey with a win.

The fifth match of season 11 of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL 11) will see Jaipur Pink Panthers take on Bengal Warriorz. It is a battle of the West against the East as two teams will look to start their season with a win.

The two-time champions Jaipur Pink Panthers surprisingly did a revamp to their squad, releasing the likes of Sunil Kumar, Sahul, and V Ajith Kumar. They have replaced them with the buys of Surjeet Singh, who is the most successful Indian defender in PKL history, and Vikas Kandola. Fans have expressed mixed feelings and a win to start will settle all the nerves.

On the other hand, Bengal Warriorz had a dream auction as they had a steal of a buy with Fazel Atrachali for just 50 lakhs. Having brought the former UP Yoddhas skipper Nitesh Kumar and retaining Maninder Singh, the squad is rich in experience. But the biggest exciting factor will be the arrival of Arjun Rathi who was bought after a big bidding war.

The spotlight will be on the youngster as he has been doing well in the Yuva Kabaddi Series in the last couple of seasons. The opening day saw Ajit Chavan making his debut and impressing everyone. Bengal would be hoping to see the same from the youngster. Let’s look into the squads and probable starting seven for the game.

Players to watch out for

Bengal Warriorz

Fazel Atrachali has taken over the captaincy of the Bengal Warriorz for the season. With a solid and experienced squad, the Iranian promised to show his aggressive self this season in an exclusive interview with Khel Now ahead of the season. He would want to prove that those aren’t mere words.

Jaipur Pink Panthers

The two-time champions have let go of their skipper from last season, Sunil Kumar, and replaced him with Surjeet Singh. The cover defender is a veteran of the sport and if he can fill the void which he is capable of and guide the team, it would boost the confidence of the squad which will be approaching the season with a new captain.
