PKL 11: Bengaluru Bulls complete squad
The outfit managed to secure the ‘Dubki King’ services in the auction.
Bengaluru Bulls turned a lot of heads with their moves in the auction of the 11th season of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL 11). The outfit secured the services of the record breaker Pardeep Narwal with a winning bid of 70 lac. This will be his homecoming as he played for the outfit in season 2. The highest point-getter in the history of the PKL will be playing for his third new franchise in the league after sensational performances in the past for Patna Pirates and U.P. Yoddhas.
Bengaluru Bulls also splashed a huge chunk of their purse to acquire Ajinkya Ashok Pawar. The winning bid for the raider stood at 1.107 cr, the highest the Bulls paid for any individual at the auction. In addition, the outfit went on to pay 63 lac for Jai Bhagwan whose base price was only 13 lac.
The focus was on acquiring fire-spitting raiders who would cause mayhem in the opponent’s ranks when the 11th season of the Pro Kabaddi League commences. The strategy was successful in that regard. Adding foreign flavour to the side will be Thailand’s Hasun Thongkruea and Pramot Saising, recruited during the auction.
Bengaluru Bulls had already retained a few impact players. Individuals like Saurabh Nandal, Ponparthiban Subramanian, Suhil and more will be hoping to deliver positive performances for the Bulls and help the side secure their second-ever PKL title after winning it in 2018. The fans will be pumped up after the acquisition of Pardeep Narwal but there will be concerns around the balance of the side where the defence must deliver as well.
