Dabang Delhi will face Bengal Warriorz in match 115 of the Pro Kabaddi 2024 (PKL 11) at the Balewadi Sports Complex in Pune. The former, who have almost qualified, will be vying for a top two spot, while the latter need to win to keep their mathematical chances alive.

Dabang Delhi have earned 66 points in 19 matches. So far they have played ten wins, five losses and four tied matches. With both Ashu and Naveen firing in tandem, the season 8 champions have become a fearsome unit. They will be high on confidence, having defeated table-toppers Haryana Steelers 44-37 in their last match.

On the other hand, Bengal Warriorz are nearly out of playoffs contention, with 40 points after 18 matches. They have won just five games and lost ten, with three games ending in ties. Despite having a star-studded squad, things haven’t worked out for them in offense or defense. In their last match though, they secured a tie (31-31) against an in-form UP Yoddhas.

Delhi emerged victorious by a small margin of 33-30, when the two sides faced off against each other earlier in the season.

Ashu Malik (Dabang Delhi)

Last season’s joint top scorer Ashu Malik handled the responsibility of the raiding department single-handedly in the absence of Naveen Kumar, just like in the previous edition. As a result, even after Naveen’s return, he remains the team’s leading raider. With 211 raid points, Ashu now stands second in the list of most raid points this season.

With fifteen Super 10s, the raider has not harmed his tag of being a consistent raider. Against a star-studded Warriorz outfit, he will once again look to make an impact.

Fazel Atrachali (Bengal Warriorz)

Despite not having a season according to his lofty standards, Fazel Atrachali stands joint sixth in the list of most tackle points, with 56 tackle points. This has been a commendable effort, considering that the form of the right corner Nitesh Kumar and the cover defenders have fluctuated a lot this season.

The Iranian legend, who is the most prolific defender in PKL history with nearly 550 tackle points, will want to step up in order to keep his side’s remote chances of qualifying for the playoffs alive. Fazel will have his task cut out though, against two exceptional right raiders in the form of Ashu and Naveen.
