PKL 11: Dabang Delhi & Patna Pirates play out thrilling tie in Pro Kabaddi 2024
Dabang Delhi moved to the third place in the PKL 11 points table.
It was an absolute edge-of-the-seat thriller in Pro Kabaddi 2024 (PKL 11) on Tuesday as the Patna Pirates and Dabang Delhi played out an exhilarating tie at the Noida Indoor Stadium. The contest ended with the scores locked at 39-39, showcasing an incredible second-half comeback by Dabang Delhi after the Patna Pirates dominated the opening half.
For the Pirates, Devank starred with 15 points, while Deepak added 7 and Ankit secured a Hi-5. On the other side, Ashu Malik continued his superb PKL 11 form with another Super 10, scoring 11 points, while Ashish contributed 7 and Naveen Kumar chipped in with 6.

Devank and Naveen opened the scoring for their respective teams before Ashu Malik’s spectacular three-point raid set the stage for a high-octane PKL 11 clash. Both teams matched each other move for move in a gripping start.
As the half progressed, the defensive units began to tighten their grip, testing the skills of Naveen, Ashu, and Devank. However, Sandeep and Devank stepped up for the Pirates. With just over five minutes left in the half, Patna Pirates established a 6-point lead, helped by an ALL OUT inflicted by Ankit.
The closing minutes of the first half saw Dabang Delhi struggle to score raid points, allowing the Pirates to extend their lead. Devank completed his ninth Super 10 of PKL 11 before halftime, and the Pirates went into the break leading 20-10.
The second half began with another ALL OUT by the Patna Pirates on Dabang Delhi K.C., further extending their lead. However, Ashu Malik responded brilliantly for Dabang Delhi K.C., picking up 5 points from 3 raids and pulling his team back into contention. Soon, Dabang Delhi K.C. inflicted an ALL OUT of their own, swinging the momentum in their favour. With ten minutes left, the Pirates held an 8-point lead, and Devank had already amassed 14 points.
As the clock ticked down, Ashu Malik completed his 12th Super 10 of PKL 11, keeping Dabang Delhi K.C. in the hunt. A crucial Super Tackle on Ayan and a quick raid by Naveen reduced the Patna Pirates’ lead to just 5 points with two minutes remaining.
In the dying moments, Ashish delivered a game-changing three-point Super Raid, bringing the deficit down to one point. An ALL OUT by Dabang Delhi K.C. gave them a one-point lead with under a minute to go. However, Devank and Shubham Shinde wrestled the lead back for the Pirates. In a nail-biting finish, Dabang Delhi K.C. clawed their way back from a 14-point deficit to force a tie in this incredible PKL 11 showdown.
