PKL 11 Final: Top five players to watch out for in Haryana Steelers vs Patna Pirates

The stage is set for the most intriguing Kabaddi game of the year as Patna Pirates gear up to lock horns with Haryana Steelers in the Pro Kabaddi 2024 (PKL 11) final. Both sides have been exceptional on all fronts and have all that it takes to go all the way.

This is a usual territory for the Patna Pirates having won the championship thrice before while the Haryana Steelers are eyeing their first title. With no room for any slip-ups and the stakes higher than ever, the nation is ready for one of the most high-profile Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) finals to date.

Ayan Lohchab

Ayan Lohchab has been nothing but phenomenal upfront for the Patna Pirates in PKL 11. He has emerged as one of the best debutants this season and has made a name for himself with his explosive raiding skills. After a really inspiring group stage campaign, Ayan has raised the bar in the knockouts.

He has taken the Patna Pirates over the line in both the eliminator and the semi-final with his heroics. Lohchab notched up 18 points in the last two games and will be keen to replicate the same in the final as well.

Shivam Patare

Shivam Patare is expected to turn up the ante for the Haryana Steelers. He has been the Steelers’ most consistent raider this season and has racked up 158 raid points in the process, including 21 points in just the last two games in PKL 11.

The left raider will have to step up to the occasion and shoulder the offensive duties to perfection if Haryana Steelers are to get their hands on their first-ever PKL title. Interestingly, Shivam accounts for 33% of the Steelers’ total raid points this season.

Ankit Jaglan

Ankit Jagaln will be the main man for the Patna Pirates at the back. While the Pirates have made it to the headlines for the offensive gameplay, Ankit has kept things really tight at the back. He has been one of the most impactful defenders in the league and is also the frontrunner to win the orange band.

Jaglan’s synergy with his teammates coupled with his commanding presence at the back has been the point of difference for the Patna Pirates. He has racked up 77 tackle points so far in PKL 11 which is the joint-highest by any defender this season.

Mohammadreza Shadloui

The Iranian all-rounder has been the best overseas player yet again this season. Despite moving to a new franchise during the auction, Shadloui hasn’t changed one bit. He is still a serial matchwinner and knows how to turn a game on its head all on his own.

His strong technical prowess combined with his reliability makes him one of the best defenders in the history of the league. Shadloui is known for his consistency and match-winning performances. In fact, he is one of the favourites to win the orange band with 77 tackle points to his name in PKL 11.

Devank Dalal

Devank Dalal has to be the man to watch out for in this fixture. He has been exceptional all throughout this season and has broken records against all odds. Despite playing his debut PKL season, he has worked wonders for the Patna Pirates.

With 296 raid points, the raider currently holds the joint fourth-highest raid points tally in a single season and still has a game in hand. Moreover, he will be very motivated to put in a good shift against the Steelers and settle scores for the humiliation that the Pirates had faced earlier in the season.
