PKL 11 Dream11 tips: 3 Haryana Steelers players you must have in your team for Pro Kabaddi 2024
Steelers will kick off their PKL 11 campaign against defending champions Puneri Paltan.
The 11th edition of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL 11) has started from October 18 and some eyes will be on the Haryana Steelers as last year’s runners-up look to go one step further this time. The Steelers came agonizingly close to clinching their maiden PKL title in the previous season but faltered at the final hurdle against Puneri Paltan.
The Season 10 runners-up won 15 of their 22 matches in the league stage, finishing second on the table with 82 points. They had a strong start and maintained their momentum throughout the season.
As far as the 11th edition goes there have been some changes in the Steelers’ hierarchy. While the management has kept their faith in Coach Manpreet Singh, they have made a glaring addition to their squad ahead of PKL 11.
The most important change was acquiring the services of Iranian all-rounder Mohammadreza Chiyaneh who was a key player for Puneri Paltan in their title-winning campaign last season for a whopping INR 2.07 crore.
Chiyaneh is expected to boost the already strong defensive lineup and also provide some impetus in the attack of the Steelers. After suffering a heartbreaking loss in the finals last time, the team will be eager to go one step further and clinch their maiden PKL title in season 11.
For all Haryana Steelers supporters and other kabaddi fans, here are three players who should be in your Dream11 team, they can get you a lot of points in the PKL 11 season
Vinay (Raider)
Vinay has shown some consistency in an otherwise not-so-consistent raiding department of the Steelers, a parameter fans find of much importance while picking their Dream11 sides.
Vinay had a good outing in the last season with Haryana Steelers as he picked up 165 points. At the time, this was his most complete season and shows how he has evolved as a player. He averaged 7.09 raid points in each game and had six Super 10s to his name.
This season, the raider will get an opportunity to lead the raiding unit for the Steelers. Vinay, who has been retained by the team would be looking to have a 200+ point season for Haryana Steelers in PKL Season XI.
Jaideep Dahiya (Defender)
Jaideep Dahiya has been a reliable performer for the Haryana Steelers and will be entering his fourth season with the side in Pro Kabaddi League season 11.
He was the second-highest tackle point scorer for his team last season with 68 points to his name. An all-rounder with range and speed in the tackle, Dahiya has a 47% success rate with tackles and achieved 6 High 5s this PKL season.
This time with the new entrant Mohammadreza Chiyaneh, Jaideep would once again look to scare off opposition raiders. Being one of the reliable defenders in the league, he is also less likely to make errors which could in turn help your Dream11 points tally, should you choose to keep him in your team.
Mohammadreza Chiyaneh (All-rounder)
Mohammadreza Chiyaneh is one of the most sought-after players in the league. After an impressive performance that helped Puneri Paltan win the title last season, he was picked by the Haryana Steelers at a whopping price of Rs. 2.07 crore, making him one of the most expensive players in PKL history.
Chiyaneh was supreme last season. He scored 126 points in 24 matches, including a league-high 99 tackle points and 27 raid points. This was despite fierce competition from star-studded Puneri Paltan.
Chiyaneh’s versatility in both defence and offence makes him a Dream11 favourite. He possesses an average of 4.12 successful tackles per match and the ability to score occasionally during raids, making him a must-have in your Dream11 side for PKL 11.
