PKL 11: Key battles to watch out for in match 36, U Mumba vs Dabang Delhi
The outcome of the individual battles will be key in deciding the winner.
U Mumba and Dabang Delhi K.C. are set to clash in the 2024-25 Pro Kabaddi League (PKL 11). Match 36 of the ongoing edition will take place at the GMCB Indoor Stadium, Gachibowli, in Hyderabad on 5 November 2024. Both teams are entering the PKL 11 game on the back of poor results and will rely on their key players to secure a win.
Dabang Delhi defeated U Mumba in the PKL 11 season opener, and the latter will be eyeing revenge in the upcoming match. There are brilliant players on both sides, but despite the available talent, the results have not been favourable. Going into the PKL 11 game, U Mumba finds itself in ninth position while the Dabang Delhi are in 10th, hoping to leapfrog their next opponents with a victory.

While predicting the result of the clash between U Mumba vs Dabang Delhi is a difficult task, one can bet on both teams putting their best foot forward. As the Pro Kabaddi League 11 (PKL 11) fixture approaches and both sets of players prepare themselves, here is a look at the three key battles that will play a key role in deciding the winner:
Amirmohammad Zafardanesh vs Yogesh
Amirmohammad Zafardanesh is one of the few in-form players in the U Mumba lineup in PKL 11. The talented all-rounder can be a handful and loves to go on raids to secure points for his team. He scored 11 points when these teams met on the kabaddi floor last time.
Stopping him from making an impact would be the responsibility of Yogesh. The winner of the “Emerging Player of the Season” award in the 10th edition of the PKL is a key figure in the Dabang Delhi squad this year. It will be interesting to see how Amirmohammad Zafardanesh manages to navigate past Yogesh’s effective advanced tackles.
Sunil Kumar vs Ashu Malik
Sunil Kumar is the skipper of U Mumba and brings a lot of experience to their defence. He is a leader by nature and his performance will have a huge impact on the rest of the players. His primary task would be to silence Ashu Malik who finds himself in the form of his life.
The Dabang Delhi raider has already managed five Super 10s and leads the 2024-25 PKL with 55 raid points at the time of writing. Ashu Malik has a lot of pressure on his shoulders and neutralising his threat would give U Mumba a massive advantage.
Ajit Chavan vs Vinay
Ajit Chavan and Vinay won’t directly face each other as both are raiders. However, they will be competing to secure points for their respective teams. The former scored a Super 10 in the last meeting between the sides at the start of the campaign.
As for the latter, he scored a Super 10 in the previous fixture for the Dabang Delhi. Whichever raider provides the best support and steals more points will put their team in the driving seat. In that sense, both Chavan and Vinay would play key roles and their indirect battle could be crucial in deciding the eventual winner.
