PKL 11: Key battles to watch out for in match 64, Bengaluru Bulls vs Patna Pirates
Can the Bengaluru Bulls’ defence restrict the force of the young Devank and Ayan in this highly contested PKL 11 fixture?
Patna Pirates are having a tremendous Pro Kabaddi League season 11 (PKL 11). The Pirates are the only team winning matches because of their raiding prowess. Most teams like Haryana Steelers, and U Mumba have been dominant because of their defence. The raiders studded Pirates will face Bengaluru Bulls in tomorrow’s battle.
On the other hand, Bengaluru Bulls are having a season they would want to forget. Their team has failed as a unit as none other than Nitin Rawal has made any kind of impact in PKL 11. Whether it is Pardeep Narwal, Ajinkya Pawar or Saurabh Nandal, everyone has been in poor form and hasn’t contributed their part well.
Narwal has just 42 raid points in 8 matches, Pawar has 49 raid points in 10 matches, and Nandal has 17 tackle points in 10 matches PKL 11. The Bulls stand in the 11th position as we are almost halfway into this season. These experienced campaigners have to do well if they want to reach a decent position before ending this season.

Patna Pirates have been winning matching with flying colours this season. The combination of three young raiders have taken them to some glorious comeback victories in PKL 11. Devank, Ayan and Sandeep have been in spectacular forms and have been continuously supporting each other throughout this season.
Devank has 115 raid points in 10 matches, Ayan has 76 raid points in 10 matches, and Sandeep has 30 points in 10 matches in PKL 11. Other than them, their defence has also put in their contribution with Ankit, Deepak and Shubham Shinde being the top contributors. Shinde has 19 tackle points in 10 matches, Ankit has 30 tackle points in 10 matches, and Deepak has 25 tackle points.
Although looking at the stats of this season Patna Pirates look ahead of the Bulls, the experience can play its card any time. The Bulls have the capability and experience to defeat the Pirates if their key players get their rhythm. Here are a few battles which can change the waves in this upcoming contest.
Devank Dalal vs Nitin Rawal
This battle is going to be the most crucial in the Bulls vs Pirates PKL 11 match. If Nitin Rawal can restrict Devank to minimum points, the pressure might get to the young side of Patna. Devank has been unstoppable this season with 6 super-10s which includes a 25-pointer as well.
Nitin Rawal is the only player from Bengaluru Bulls who has shown character and has dominated the opponents at times. He has scored 34 tackle points and can be the key to victory in this upcoming match. If Rawal can keep Devank off-court for maximum time, the pressure factor will come into play and the experienced side of Bengaluru Bulls might have a chance in this match.
Ayan Lohchab vs Saurabh Nandal
Ayan is another young force from the Pirates who has made a big impact in PKL 11. He is the second raider from Patna and has caused more than enough damage to the opponents. He is going to be the key if Devank misses his rhythm. But what if Ayan also gets dominated by the Bulls’ defence.
The Bulls’ defence has to make sure to put pressure on these young raiders. Who better than Saurabh Nandal to do so? Nandal is another experienced campaigner from the Bulls who hasn’t looked his best this season. However, if he can contribute in this upcoming contest and keep Ayan off-court, he might make a big contribution to his team. It will be interesting to see these battles of experience vs youth.
Pardeep Narwal vs Ankit Jaglan
Pardeep Narwal was included in the Bengaluru Bulls with big expectations. However, the veteran hasn’t delivered yet in PKL 11. But if he can get his rhythm back and perform like his stature, he can cause massive damage to the opponents. This is exactly what is needed by him against the Pirates. If Narwal can cause chaos in Patna Pirates’ defence he can certainly get his team into the match.
However, it is not going to be easy for him. Ankit Jaglan has looked in fierce form this season. With 30 tackle points, his confidence is in the high sky and he will be eying for another great High-5 against the Bulls. If Jaglan can keep Narwal and company silent in the raiding department, the Bengaluru Bulls are probably going to struggle again in the upcoming match.
