Both teams will be eyeing victory.

Gujarat Giants opened their Pro Kabaddi League Season 11 (PKL 11) account with a complete team performance, defeating Bengaluru Bulls by a scoreline of 36-32. It was a well-rounded effort from the team, with their raiders and defenders working in harmony to secure the win.

On the other hand, U Mumba faced Dabang Delhi K.C. in their PKL 11 opener but fell short as they lost 36-28. U Mumba’s defence struggled to contain Ashu Malik, who played a pivotal role in Dabang Delhi’s victory.

As Gujarat Giants and U Mumba prepare to face off in PKL 11, the performances of these players in their respective battles will likely determine the outcome of the match. Both teams will be eager to secure a win and build momentum early in the season.

Guman Singh vs Sunil Kumar

Guman Singh, who has already played for three different franchises before joining Gujarat Giants in PKL 11, has quickly become a crucial player for his new team. He had a good outing in their season opener against Bengaluru Bulls, scoring 6 raid points from 13 attempts. With a solid track record in the previous season, where he accumulated 168 points and finished with nine Super 10s, Guman will look to build on his performance this season.

On the other hand, Sunil Kumar, U Mumba’s star defender, didn’t have the best start to PKL 11. Despite his reputation and being the most expensive Indian defender at the auction, he failed to register any tackle points in his first match. However, his experience and defensive skills make him a player who can turn things around in any game.

Manjeet Dahiya vs Neeraj Kumar

Manjeet Dahiya, who is now leading U Mumba’s raiding unit, has been a consistent performer throughout his PKL career, no matter which team he has played for. In PKL 10, he scored 122 points for Patna Pirates but had a modest start to this season, failing to score any points in his debut match. He will be eager to get on the scoreboard and lead his team to a win.

On the defensive side, Neeraj Kumar will be a key player for Gujarat Giants. Although his season opener was not as impactful as expected, Neeraj has the skills and experience to challenge U Mumba’s raiders and contribute significantly to his team’s defence.

Rakesh vs Sombir

Rakesh Sungroya has been with the Gujarat Giants for four seasons and has consistently scored over 100 points in each of them. Last season, he emerged as one of the team’s top performers, excelling in do-or-die raids. However, his start to PKL 11 was modest, with just 2 raid points from 8 attempts in their opening match. Rakesh will be hoping to bounce back and make a stronger impact in the upcoming games.

On the other side, U Mumba’s defender Sombir had an excellent start to PKL 11. He registered 6 tackle points in their season opener and achieved a tackle success rate of 86%, earning him a High 5. His strong defensive presence will be crucial in stopping Gujarat’s raiders and giving U Mumba a competitive edge.
