PKL 11: Key battles to watch out for in Telugu Titans vs Bengaluru Bulls

It will be exciting to watch the Bulls’ raiding ability battle against the Titans’ defense.

The 11th season of Pro Kabaddi League, PKL 11 is about to commence on Friday, 18th October. The opening encounter will be played between Telugu Titans and Bengaluru Bulls at GMC Balayogi Sports Complex, Hyderabad. Telugu Titans will look to take the home advantage and have a good start to their 2024 campaign. On the other hand, Bengaluru Bulls will have the confidence to dominate their battles against Telugu Titans in PKL history.

Both the teams have had a pretty good PKL 11 auction, where they strengthened their respective teams. The Bulls have made their raiding unit exceptionally strong, whereas the Titans have more strength in their defence and all-rounders’ bracket, which makes this contest focused between the Bulls’ raiders and Titans’ defence. Here are the top 3 battles that we might see in the first match of the season.

Pawan Sehrawat vs Saurabh Nandal

The Telugu Titans’ captain against the Bengaluru Bulls’ vice-captain. This will be one of the most interesting battles of the day as one of the best all-rounders will take on the best defender.

Pawan Sehrawat has got 1189 raid points under his name whereas Nandal has 246 tackle points in his PKL career. Will Nandal be able to put restrictions on Sehrawat’s flow of points? Or will Sehrawat’s raids put Nandal and company on the backfoot? It is going to be a tremendous battle.

Pardeep Narwal vs Krishan Dhull

In the second most anticipated battle of the match, we have the Dubki King, Bengaluru Bulls’ captain Pardeep Narwal will take on the young defender, Krishan Dhull. Narwal needs no introduction on what he can do. The most successful raider in the history of PKL with nearly 1700 raid points in his name.

Whereas Dhull had a pretty good season 10 where he shined as a defender and scored 78 tackle points. The Titans would want him to step up against the Bulls in the PKL 11 opener and keep the strong Narwal and his co-raiders content.

Ajinkya Pawar vs Vijay Malik

Ajinkya Pawar is going to be another star raider for the Bulls this season. Bengaluru Bulls bought Pawar for a whopping price of 1.107 crores. He will be another thorn in the Titans’ way. Pawar had a brilliant PKL 10 where he scored 133 points and has above 450 raid points in his PKL career. Challenging him will be another spectacular all-rounder from Telugu Titans, Vijay Malik.

Malik had an average season 10, but has a massive experience behind him. He has scored over 400 raid points and nearly 100 tackle points in his PKL career and will be one of the most important players in the Titans’ squad who can contribute both in defence as well as offence.

Although history shows Bengaluru Bulls as the clear dominant side between these teams, this year, Titans have the talent and capability to take back a couple of wins. In game one of the PKL 11, there are going to be massive battles between these teams, but these three are the ones to keep an eye on.
