Celebrations in the camp

Dabang Delhi’s skipper Naveen Kumar was recently blessed with a baby boy and Delhi’s head coach Joginder Narwal shared with the media about how the team celebrated Naveen’s happiness.

“We got good news yesterday when we were all together today. Naveen was supposed to go today, but he couldn’t go due to the unavailability of a flight and then he said that he wanted to play today’s game and then go. We cake a cut and enjoyed together, today’s win is dedicated to our Junior Express,” he said.

Plan against the Haryana Steelers

Naveen Kumar spoke about his side’s plan against Steelers and said that we followed whatever our head coach said and were therefore able to pull off a victory.

“We had a plan because they are a good team and also table toppers, so we couldn’t take them lightly. We followed the plan and that’s why we won. We knew everything about the players and how they played. Initially, we struggled, but we knew how to fight back,” he added.

Manpreet Singh on Dabang Delhi’s performance

Haryana Steelers’ head coach Manpreet Singh praised Dabang Delhi for their performance and happily accepted that they were a much better side in the game and deserved to win.

“Delhi’s team was much better than my team. We can’t say that we didn’t play well, but they played extremely well. They played well in reading and also in defense. We couldn’t play on our strong points, but they did,” he asserted.

Manpreet Singh on upcoming games

Speaking about the upcoming games and then the playoffs, Manpreet said that we still have time to work on our mistakes and correct them.

“We are sad that we lost the game, but I’m not disappointed by my team’s performance. We still have two more matches and we need to win at least one if we want to be in first position. If we play the semi-final or beyond, we know what needs to be fixed because we have the time to work on our shortcomings. There are still 10-15 days and we will work on it and improve ourselves ” he concluded.
