On the second win in PKL 11
Both teams started off strong, with Jai Bhagwan’s two-pointer pushing the Bengaluru Bulls into early action. The Tamil Thalaivas’ captain, Sahil Gulia, responded with a Super Tackle, tying the game at 7-7 in the opening minutes.
“It was a good win, because it is the best match we have played so face in PKL 11, strategy wise everything worked. Even if they had lost the match, I would not have had any regrets because the team played really well, ” said coach Randhir Singh.
On Pardeep Narwal’s return
The defences held firm as the game progressed, with Nitin Rawal’s Super Tackle keeping the teams level. At halftime, the Bengaluru Bulls held a narrow 14-13 lead. Bengaluru Bulls were however without their captain Pardeep Narwal whom the coach revealed to have been injured.
“We had a little problem that Pardeep was not there. He has incurred a little sickness but he will be back for the next match,” revealed the coach.
“He is a fighter, despite being sick he played, then I told him to get better first and then come to the mat,” added the coach.
On facing Bengal Warriorz next in PKL 11
They will now go to face season 7 champions Bengal Warriorz next in PKL 11 on November 9th.
“Bengal Warriorz is a good team, they have good raiders, Maninder, and the new kid Sushil, but we still have 3 days for it, so just wait and see how we play the match,” said coach.
The second half saw Saurabh Nandal’s Super Tackle further pressure the Tamil Thalaivas, though Sachin Tanwar sparked a Thalaivas comeback, leading to an All Out and briefly putting them ahead. However, the Bengaluru Bulls quickly responded, tying it up at 23-23.
On facing Telugu Titans
A key Super Tackle from Anuj Gawade on Ajinkya Pawar gave the Tamil Thalaivas a short-lived lead, but Akshit’s clutch raids swung the momentum back in favor of the Bulls, leading to an All Out that secured their three-point advantage.
With Narender Kandola and Sachin Tanwar scoring Super 5s in a late surge, the Tamil Thalaivas put up a valiant fight. Yet, a crucial tackle by Surinder Dehal on the auction’s most expensive player sealed the win, marking a vital victory for the Bengaluru Bulls in PKL 11. They will now go on to face Telugu Titans next.
“We made some mistakes in this game which we have to rectify when we face them next, ” said Tamil Thalaivas coach Udhaya Kumar.
