Tamil Thalaivas have moved to the 10 place in the PKL 11 points table.

In a gripping Pro Kabaddi League 11 (PKL 11) match at the Noida Indoor Stadium, U Mumba fended off a late surge from the Tamil Thalaivas to clinch a 35-32 victory.

Speaking to the media, U Mumba coach, and captain Sunil Kumar followed by Tamil Thalaivas and captain Sahil Gulia shared their thoughts on the PKL 11 game.

On the win over Tamil Thalaivas in PKL 11

Manjeet starred for U Mumba, securing 10 points, while Ajit Chouhan added eight raid points, contributing significantly to their win.

U Mumba started strong, executing an ALL OUT in the 6th minute, giving them a notable advantage early in the game. Ajit Chouhan’s Super Raid in the 18th minute further extended U Mumba’s lead, helping them close the first half with a commanding 23-12 scoreline.

“The team played very well today, yes we made some mistakes, but we will work on them,” said U Mumba captain Sunil Kumar.

Throughout the second half, U Mumba maintained their lead, even pushing it to a 10-point difference with five minutes to go. The Tamil Thalaivas’ key raiders, Narender Kandola, and Sachin Tanwar, struggled to score, with Sachin taking 24 minutes to earn his first point.

On Sagar Rathee’s absence from PKL 11

Tamil Thalaivas have been without captain Sagar Rathee for a long time now which seemed to have affected their defence.

“Without Sagar, our defence is suffering a little, if he was here our defence would have definitely been better, ” said Tamil Thalaivas’s coach.

On facing Bengal Warriorz next in PKL 11

A late Super Raid from Moein Shafaghi briefly brought the Thalaivas back into contention, inflicting an ALL OUT on U Mumba. However, U Mumba held firm to secure their PKL 11 victory by three points. They will now go to face Bengal Warriorz.

“Maninder is the best raider in the league. Their team is very good as well, but we will come prepared as well,” Captain Sahil concluded.
