On Pawan Sehrawat’s injury

Despite the absence of their star raider and skipper Pawan Sehrawat, the Titans found heroes in Ashish Narwal, who completed a Super 10, and defensive stalwarts Shankar Gadai and Sagar Sethpal, both registering High 5s. Stand-in captain Vijay Malik added to the success with a valuable 8 points.

“Pawan Sehrawat will be back soon. It is not a major injury, we are all wishing to see him soon, so he will be back on the mat soon enough, ” revealed the Telugu Titans coach.

On Jaideep’s absence and impact

Telugu Titans dominated from the start, capitalizing on early errors from the Steelers to inflict the first ALL OUT within 10 minutes. Haryana struggled to cope with the intensity, as raider Vinay and defender Mohammadreza Shadloui faltered under pressure. By halftime, the Titans had extended their lead to 23-11.

“Jaideep had a little bit of a headache because of the stitches he got. He could not sleep at night so we rested him. He doesn’t have any injury or anything, he is completely fine, ” shared coach Manpreet Singh.

The second half was no different, with the Titans’ raiders and defenders excelling in unison. They inflicted three more ALL OUTs on the Haryana Steelers, who failed to close the gap. Ashish Narwal’s crucial Do-Or-Die raid sealed his Super 10, while Sagar Sethpal’s High 5 ended Haryana’s hopes of a comeback.

“Jaideep’s absence has affected the team for sure, because when your captain doesn’t play, the defence and the raiding was not great as well, so maybe that’s why we lost,” the Haryana coach added.
