PKL 11: Pardeep Narwal reveals reason behind Bengaluru Bulls' poor performance in Pro Kabaddi 2024

Bengaluru Bulls have now lost 13 of the 15 matches they have played in PKL 11.
The Patna Pirates delivered a dominant performance in Pro Kabaddi 2024 (PKL 11), crushing the Bengaluru Bulls 54-29 at the Noida Indoor Stadium. The three-time champions were in full flow, with Devank Dalal and Ayan Lohchab stealing the show with brilliant Super 10s, while Shubham Shinde’s High 5 added a defensive masterclass to their win.
Speaking to the media, Bengaluru Bulls captain Pardeep Narwal and star player Nitin Rawal followed by Patna Pirates coach alongside star raiders Ayan and Devank shared their thoughts on the PKL 11 match.

On the team’s poor show consecutively
The Pirates started strong, with Ayan Lohchab leading the early raids. The Bulls, however, stayed competitive thanks to Pardeep Narwal‘s vintage Dubki and Nitin Rawal’s defensive efforts.
“A team can only win when both the defence and the offence works well together. If only one is working then the team can not win, both have to work together for a team to win, ” said Pardeep Narwal.
On Pardeep Narwal’s form and injury
Despite that, as a whole Narwal had struggled with form in PKL 11.
“Coming back from an injury without being completely fit is difficult. As a player, you are always worried about getting injured again. But I could not wait to get fit completely because else the league would be over. So I thought it was better to play and recover at they say time,” added Pardeep Narwal.
On Ayan and Devank’s performance
Despite these moments, the Patna Pirates turned the game on its head with an ALL OUT six minutes before halftime. Ayan’s Super Raid and Devank’s clinical precision ensured the Pirates led 22-12 at the break.
With 17 points from Devank, 13 from Ayan, and stellar defensive support, the Pirates once again proved why they are PKL 11 favourites.
“When we let go of Sachin [Tanwar], I said my team will not face any issues for that and that we will make a few more of Sachin’s. Ayan and Devank and even Deepak has been really good,” said Patna Pirates coach.
On Subham Shinde’s performance
The second half of this PKL 11 clash saw the Pirates extend their dominance. Another ALL OUT early on put the Bengaluru Bulls further behind, though Pardeep’s sensational Super Raid briefly reignited hopes for Bengaluru.
However, the Pirates stayed composed, with Devank and Ayan continuing to pile on points. Shubham Shinde’s Super Tackle on Pardeep Narwal was the icing on the cake, and a third ALL OUT sealed a commanding 25-point win for the Pirates.
“Our coach has told us not to take pressure and to focus on the tackles. So we try to stay in. Me, Ankit and Gurdeep. if we all are in then our team will win for sure, ”
