On Shivam, Shadloui’s performance

Shivam Patare starred with 11 points, while Mohammadreza Shadloui added 9, including a crucial High-5. Meanwhile, Devank was exceptional for the Patna Pirates, scoring 13 points and surpassing the 200-point milestone this season, cementing his place as PKL 11’s top raider.

“Shivam played really well. As a raider what he did, was the turning point for a game. As for Shadloui, he is an amazing player and all-rounder, he is a great inspiration for the young players, ” said Haryana Steelers coach Manpreet Singh.

On Haryana Steelers’ strength

The match began with both teams going toe-to-toe, but the Patna Pirates gained a slight edge midway through the first half. Devank’s ALL OUT gave the Pirates a 4-point lead, and they headed into halftime with a narrow 17-16 advantage.

“The strength of our team lies in our defence. Whenever I, Shadloui or Rahul play well, it works for us and we win and that is what happened today, ” said Jaideep.

The second half saw the Haryana Steelers bounce back strongly. Shivam Patare’s Super Raid and Shadloui’s Super Tackle shifted the momentum. Devank continued to shine for the Pirates, completing his 12th Super 10, but the Steelers’ defense turned the tide. An ALL OUT in the final minutes sealed the deal for the Haryana Steelers, who stretched their lead to 7 points and claimed a memorable win in PKL 11.
