Defending champions Puneri Paltan will face Telugu Titans in match 124 of Pro Kabaddi 2024 (PKL 11) at the Balewadi Sports Complex in Pune.

Both teams suffered defeats against the Patna Pirates in their previous fixtures, which has pushed them to the brink. The defending champions now need to win their remaining two games, while the Titans need to win their last match if they keep their knockout hopes alive. Destiny still won’t be in the hands of the two sides, as they would need U Mumba to drop points in their remaining three games.

When the two sides had faced off earlier in the season, Telugu Titans had emerged victorious by a margin of 34-33.

Pawan Sehrawat (Telugu Titans)

This is a crunch match for the Telugu Titans, and they need their talisman Pawan Sehrawat to step up now more than ever. Although Vijay Malik and Ashish have done a good job, it would be fair to say that Pawan’s absence has cost the team a lot.

With 115 raid points in 12 matches (7 super 10s), the Indian team skipper has made a big impact in the matches he has been a part of. More importantly, he scored 9 raid points against an in-form Pirates in the previous match and 12 against the Gujarat Giants in the match before that, which shows that he has found back his rhythm.

Aman (Puneri Paltan)

The battle between Pawan and Aman could decide the fate of the match. Aman was the only new entrant to the Paltan defence, which had played a massive role in their title-winning campaign. Fair to say, he has adjusted like fish to water, with 44 tackle points in just 14 matches.

Aman’s absence in between hurt the team badly, as the likes of Mohit Khaler and Mohd. Amaan could not produce the same impact. The left corner has been in good form recently, with 14 tackle points in the last three matches. He will have a tall task tomorrow though, as Pawan and Vijay, who are both right raiders will go up against him.
