The league will start in mid of October.

Having witnessed an enthralling Kabaddi action in season 10 of the Pro Kabaddi League, the fans might not have to wait longer to watch another season. PKL 11 will start in the mid of October, and the Auction took place on August 15th and 16th. Earlier the tournament’s organizers were eager to return to its previous July–September window.

The season 11 of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL 11) is set to begin from the 18th of October. According to Khel Now sources, the league will begin in the third week of October right after the completion of the India – Bangladesh T20I series to avoid conflict in broadcasting hours. The league with 12 teams will last for three months with the finals by the 4th or 5th of January.

The official Television broadcaster for all of these events is Star Sports, who would like to ensure there would be no overlap as PKL has been a huge contributor to them. Even though cricket is the most popular sport in India, the PKL is ranked second among Indian franchise leagues for other sports. Also, Star was one of the pioneers in the launch of PKL along with Marshal Sports Pvt Ltd.

The last two seasons took place throughout December to February because of COVID-19-related travel restrictions. PKL 10 was originally supposed to take place in July, but due to scheduling conflicts with the Asian Games and Asian Kabaddi Championships, it was once more moved to December. The best chance for the league to go back to its original window, though, is in 2024. But now season is going to take place in the mid of October.
